Meditation used to be my anchor.
Now some days, it feels like a performance.

I still sit.
I still breathe.
I still do the practice.
But lately it’s started to feel like pressure.
Like one more thing to tick off so I don’t unravel.

But these images,
hands on hearts, eyes softened.
They reminded me of something quieter…

It’s not about doing it right.
It’s about returning.
Each time I pause to place my hand on my chest,
I’m telling my nervous system,

You are safe now.
I’m reminding myself, I'm still here.
Still listening.
Not to the noise. 
Not to the pressure.
But to the part of me beneath it all that just wants relief.
Softness. Space. Safety.

Maybe the real practice is not meditating.
Maybe it’s choosing not to abandon ourselves,
even when the world is loud and our minds are louder.
It's not about doing more, but remembering...

Trust. 
In yourself. 
In others.
In the process.

I now believe that the right opportunities find you when you show up with intention.

And this weekend,
I have one of the biggest opportunities of my new life so far,
a real pinch me moment. 

But the truth is, 
it didn’t come out of nowhere.
The work I’ve put in over the years,
especially with
has played a huge part in getting me here. 

We’ve worked together with no guarantees, 
just trust.

Taking a chance on me, 
supporting me,
believing in me. 

Giving me more than just work,
giving me guidance, 
advice,
confidence, 
self-belief. 

And the value of what I’ve gained from them? 
Is beyond just money.

In life, no one achieves alone. 
We’re all held up by a web of support,
people who take a chance on us, 
who see something in us before we fully see it in ourselves.

I’m lucky to have a tribe of people in my life like that!

And when we lean in, 
when we trust,
when we keep moving even through the doubt…
the things we once only dreamed of start happening.

I don’t feel like I’ve “won” because winning implies an ending. 
But for the first time, 
I feel like I can win. 
That the small wins are adding up. 

And compared to the despair and hopelessness I used to feel, 
that alone feels like a victory.

As I’m out in the autumn elements today, capturing in his yoga practice, 
I’m reminded of the power that comes from connecting with nature during this time of year. 

There’s something about the crisp air and the changing leaves that mirrors the internal process of grounding and realignment.

This image of Mo, from a shoot earlier this year, embodies that same sense of calm and balance.
A reminder that no matter the season, we can always return to our center.

Whether indoors or outside, I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with purposeful brands that align with these values, capturing images that reflect moments of stillness and movement, the beauty of the season, and the inner strength we all carry.

Slow Growth,
and deep Roots.

As autumn settles in, I’m reminded that sometimes our greatest strength comes when we’re not in full bloom. 

Like a tree, 
we become strongest in this season.

Not by pushing or growing, but by grounding, reflecting, and letting go. 

These were a collection of items and inspiration from 3 years ago that reflected the vision for my home, 
the Rebel Black Studio House. 

It’s been a slow, organic process, but I’m finally starting to see it all come together. 

Just like this season, I’m trusting the slower pace and embracing the journey.

I know that growth is still happening, even when it’s not always visible.

Grateful for how far I’ve come in life and in creating this space,
for both my family and my work.
