My last post before Christmas! 🎄🧑‍🎄 🎁 ❤️

A post purely to say thank you 🙏

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me both personally and professionally this year, and especially to those lucky people who get to do both! (sorry about that 😬)

2025 started tough, for so many reasons, but WOW look where it ended! ✨

It’s looked like holidays but I’ve worked incredibly hard, and that’s been rewarded with travelling the world, doing what I love, and having the most amazing experiences on board some of the world’s greatest boats! 🛥️ 🚤 🌊

Heading into Christmas with a happy life filled with love, laughter, family, business plans and of course… BOATS!

❤️ to you all!

Global Order Book Analaysis.. day 6 … 🤓

Life isn’t all about motor yachts…. I know. I don’t believe this either ❤️ 🛥️

Yes, motor yachts still make up the bulk of what’s being built, 837 projects on the books for 2026, but some of the most interesting stuff right now is happening outside of motor.

A few trends that really stand out:

⛵ Sailing yachts
Still very much in the game. There are 69 sailing yachts on order, only two fewer than last year. And at the very top end there’s a 130-metre sailing yacht (Project Vela) currently being built in Croatia. That alone tells you this segment isn’t going anywhere.

⚓ Multihulls
Slowly but surely gaining momentum. The numbers are up slightly year-on-year, with France really leading the charge here. More space, more stability, different cruising experience — buyers are clearly intrigued.

🌍 Expedition / explorer yachts
This segment dipped a little (down four hulls), which probably says more about the overall market than demand itself. The desire for long-range, adventurous cruising — remote destinations, learning experiences, proper exploration — is still very much alive.

📐 And then there’s the 500GT game…
Shipyards are still chasing the holy grail: how big can we go without tipping over 500GT?

Out of 932 yachts under 500GT in this year’s order book, 156 are aiming for 499GT. Right on the knife edge. ⚖️

Motor yachts may dominate the numbers, but creativity, innovation and ambition are everywhere you look.

Who’s on top of the tree? 🎄

At the very top of superyacht construction, things look pretty steady, but just below that, there’s a lot of movement. That’s what we are here for! 🙌

Here is how it stacks up rankked by total length in build:

🥇 Azimut-Benefit
Still number one… and for the 26th year running. 🥱 They’ve got 163 projects in build, adding up to a massive 5,924 metres. Consistency at serious scale! 😮

🥈 Sanlorenzo
Holding strong in second place with 130 projects totalling 4,698 metres. No surprises here, just solid performance. 💪

🥉 Lürssen
This is where it gets interesting. Lürssen jumps into third place, overtaking Feadship, with just 13 projects — but they’re huge. The average length? An eye-watering 109 metres. 👀

4️⃣ Feadship
Now in fourth, with 18 projects averaging 77.2 metres. Still very much a heavyweight in the large custom space.

5️⃣ The Italian Sea Group (TISG)
Rounding out the top five with 23 projects, averaging 58.1 metres.

👀 A few growth stories worth watching:
• Sunreef Yachts keeps climbing, powered by strong demand for its multihulls.
• Palumbo Superyachts is up 30% in total length currently in build.
• Next Yacht Group and Tankoa Yachts are both back in the top builder rankings this year.

Global Order Book Analaysis.. day 4 (I think!?) 🤓
💁‍♀️ More USA chat…

Want to be tax free? Ok so it’s not quite like that but … it could be suitable for some! 👀

🇺🇸 The US Bonus Depreciation Incentive!

The US quietly dropped a monster of a tax incentive in July 2025 as part of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” - and it’s did exactly what it was designed to! Shook things right up!

100% Bonus Depreciation for “qualified property”… and yes, that includes superyachts used in charter. 🤫

Here’s what it means ⤵️

If a business buys a yacht (new or used, as long as it’s new to the business) and puts it into commercial charter service, it can write off the entire purchase price in year one. No slow depreciation over years - it’s all upfront. On top of that, companies can deduct up to $2.5 million in equipment costs.

Of course, and as always, there are a few strings attached: 🤦‍♀️

🔹 The owner can’t use the yacht personally in the year they claim the deduction.
🔹 The yacht has to be genuinely working - in active charter service at least 50% of the time.
🔹 It must operate mainly in US or US territorial waters, meaning charters need to start or finish there.

Even with those caveats, this incentive is already giving the superyacht market a noticeable boost.

Brokers, builders, and charter companies are all feeling the ripple effect - and it’s expected to drive even more activity globally.

Keeps things interesting!

Ok so post 3 of my Global Order Book Analaysis.. 🤓

Tariffs aren’t usually the most exciting topic in the superyacht world… but we need to take a look at this. 💪

So we all know the US has brought in country-specific tariffs, and the knock-on effect is pretty simple: foreign-built yachts (and even some US-built ones) now cost more.

Here it is in a nutshell.

🇹🇼 Taiwan
Now hit with a 20% tariff, up from 10%. That’s a big jump, and it’s making US-focused export yards understandably nervous.

🇪🇺 Europe
Yachts built in Italy, Germany, France and the Netherlands are facing 15%,

🇬🇧 UK sits at 10%.

😮 When you’re buying something with a seven- or eight-figure price tag, that adds up fast.

🇺🇸 American builders aren’t immune either. A lot of the best interiors and components still come from Europe (That beautiful Italian furniture! 🥰 ) and tariffs on those imports are pushing up final build costs.

I mean, buyers at this level aren’t exactly walking away. Demand is still pretty resilient - but people aren’t stupid.
Some US buyers are looking at foreign-built yachts and skipping the US flag, even though that can limit where and how long they can cruise in US waters.

🤷‍♀️ To sum up… tariffs aren’t killing deals, but they are adding friction, complexity, and a few more spreadsheets to the buying process.

🤯 We all love an excel right?

Ok so post 2 of my Global Order Book Analysis…. 🤓

Who is who? 👀

Might seem like there’s no change here but as always let’s look beneath the surface … 🕵️‍♀️

The top three countries building the world’s superyachts haven’t changed - but what’s happening inside those markets definitely has.

🥇 Italy
Still undisputed top spot. Italy accounts for 50% of global superyacht production, with 568 projects currently in build and a combined length of 22,299 metres. But with builders like Azimut-Benetti and Sanlorenzo it’s no surprise.

🥈 Turkey
Holding onto second place with 141 projects, but this year comes with a caution flag. For the first time since 2019, Turkish orders are slightly down (-1.5%). High inflation (around 30%) and rising production costs are starting to bite. Add to that a high level of spec builds (41.8%), and risk management is becoming a bigger talking point.

🥉 The Netherlands
Still firmly in third — BUT playing a different game. Dutch yards are building fewer yachts overall (66 projects), but they’re much bigger ones. Average gross tonnage is up 15%, perfectly in line with the global shift toward larger, highly custom builds.

Same podium. Very different strategies. 🤔

My thoughts ?
A switch in second and third spot this time next year… 😮

Ok so my favourite time of year is here! 🙌

🧑‍🎄 Christmas? I mean I like it but no…
🥂 My birthday? … even better, but still no…

🛥️ It’s Global Order Book time!
🙏 Thanks BOAT International Media !

Here’s the start of my thoughts on it! 🤓

Ok so less yachts …not ideal.
But MUCH bigger!!! 🙌

This year’s numbers paint an interesting picture.

⬇️ Yes, the total number of superyachts (24m+) on order or currently in build dipped slightly to 1,093 hulls, about a 4% drop from 2025.
⬆️ But….while there are fewer boats, the ones being built are massive.

🔹Total Gross Tonnage: Up around 4%, hitting 602,092GTworldwide.
🔹Average GT: Jumped 8.7% to 551GT.
🔹Average Length: Now sitting at 40.8 metres (and still climbing).

What does all this actually mean? ⤵️

We’re seeing a real shift in the market. Smaller series-build yachts are on the decline, while large, custom and semi-custom projects are taking centre stage.

🧐Shipyards are clearly reallocating production slots that once went to smaller models and are now filling them with bigger, more complex builds.

👏 In other words: fewer yachts, but the ones coming are absolute GIANTS!

It’s the last day in Antigua. 🏝️

I will never take for granted just how fortunate I am to do what I do — stepping on board some of the most extraordinary yachts in the world and capturing their beauty through my lens. It’s an experience I will never take for granted. 🎥

This year had some truly standout moments-

🔸The absolutely stunning interiors of superyacht Roma, (I’ll share this content soon, I promise! 🙌 )
🔸The Nicholson Yachts party, the most talked about event of the week! 🥂
🔸 … and that unforgettable night with Daft Punk onboard Sheerakhan. 🕺

A huge thank you to the captains, crews, and owners who welcome me so warmly and trust me to showcase these unbelievable yachts! 🙏

What a week! 🤩
