5 years ago today, we became owners of our very own, new to us, narrowboat Rhapsody in Blue! A complete change of lifestyle, from our hustle and bustle of city life, to calm waters and tranquil quiet British canals. It was a huge leap of faith, family and friends probably thought we were mad, but we have never looked back! Since then, Rhapsody in Blue has become our home and our favourite ever place to be! ❤️

We’ve had so many wonderful memories, from our first ever cruise, our first lock, first tunnel, first mooring out in the cut, first sunset and sunrise, first reflection, the list is endless! ❤️

Five years on, not only do we love this lifestyle even more, we have met so many lovely people, and being part of the boating community means so much to us, everyone equal and looking out for each other, such a special and welcoming community! ❤️

But the biggest surprise of all, was becoming ‘Accidental Vloggers’ on YouTube after a year living on Rhapsody! That was never in our plans! Putting little videos together to show family and friends our new life, and that we really weren’t mad, blossomed into a real YouTube Vlogging Channel, with over 17,000 followers now and such a wonderful online community of friends! (If you look back, our early videos that started it all are still online, but marked as pre-vlogs, as they are quite primitive lol).

We love sharing our life afloat with you all, and we’re very much looking forward to the next five years, there’s so much more to show you and so many new places to explore, we really hope you all stick around for the ride! We came into this lifestyle looking for a slower pace of life, peaceful and relaxed, hopefully this comes across in our videos, our real life as it happens! ❤️

Thank you so so much for all the lovely comments we get on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Buy Me A Coffee etc too, we love reading them and we try to answer them all, your feedback and messages are always welcomed and we just love that so many of you join in with the emoji game too, it’s great fun! 😃 Please bear with us if it takes a little longer to reply sometimes, but we will! 🥰
