It doesn’t have to be complicated.

I promise you 🙏

I have just had a meeting with a new, very lovely, client 🙌

One thing I hear time and time again is “we have no idea where to start and how to gain more followers”

Focus on your ideal audience and STORYTELLING.

It doesn’t need to be:
Complicated
Overproduced & ridged
“Perfect” (I mean what even is “perfect”).

The posts that usually perform best right now?
👉 The ones that speak directly to your audience’s struggles & pain points. How can you help?
👉 The ones that sound like you — not like a generic robot.
👉 The ones that tell a story or lesson about you, your team, your work & achievements.

So instead of stressing about beating the algorithm, focus on building connection (both on AND offline) the rest will follow.
That’s how you’ll get both engagement and clients.

People can’t buy from you or work with you if they don’t know you’re there. You need to show up & mix it up, keep it interesting.

I can’t tell you what this recognition means. If you know my story, my why, then you’ll know how much it means to me to be a finalist.

And that’s a wrap 🎬

I had a great night last night delivering a video editing workshop to fantastic business owners through the marketcollectivecic

We looked at confidence on camera & how to generate content ideas, we created videos & learnt how to edit using CapCut. Learning by doing 👌

And I loved hearing about everyone’s businesses!

Thank you to Racheal for having me & caring so much about businesses in our community. And of course Mandy from Harrison & Brown Furniture for hosting us in her venue full of gorgeous furniture 😍

The North East BIC are gearing up to capture some client feedback video’s for internal use, highlighting the fantastic support they provide to wonderful business owners & startups.

Today I ran a workshop to talk them through the filming & editing of those video’s - Helen’s props made for some fun role play as we filmed video content to practise with (You can always rely on Helen to bring the goods 😂)

Inspiring, powerful, epic are all words I can use to describe last weeks UK Startup & Scaleup Week.

I’m still a bit buzzing off the stories, the people, the insights and connections from an event that just solidified the support and talent in the regions business community, everyone rooting for each other. It’s pretty special ✨

So many inspiring speakers across the week! It was an honour to meet Sara Davies and get my book signed. What a phenomenal woman & genuinely lovely. And not only did Daniel Priestley give an incredible keynote speech but he also gave every attendee a free copy of his book ‘Key Person Of Influence’.

It was great to also spend the week capturing the content of the event 📸🎥 Loved it!

Thank you again Paul Lancaster for creating such a fantastic week long festival - Something to be proud of! 🌟
