Another post I really would rather not have to do but feel it’s something that needs addressed.
Since the beginning of July, Causeway Coast and Glens Council took over the responsibility of opening, closing, stocking and cleaning of the toilets located at the Hideout beach Cafe.
This was the result of a dispute between the council and myself as it was being treated as a public toilet, not a private toilet for my business as previously stated in my rental agreement.
Unfortunately since the changeover has taken effect, I’ve had quite a few complaints about the state of the toilet. I fully understand and agree that the toilet is now a disgrace.
Since the start of July I’ve had to take to the toilet a number of times and bleach and clean it because it’s been in such bad condition. The is not my job. I am not a paid staff member of the council, and I should not be expected to clean a public toilet.
Going forward, if anyone has any issues with the toilet facilities situated at the Beach Cafe, please contact Causeway Coast and Glens council directly, or an elected council member.
Thanks for your understanding
