Yesterday, I laid to rest my best buddy, my ride or die, my partner in crime, my right‑hand man. A true legend who was and forever will be deeply loved and respected by so many.
Dancing Steve stepped out in unmistakable style, honoured with heartfelt tributes throughout an emotional yet joyful day. It was filled with love, laughter, smiles, and happiness, exactly how he would have wanted it. A perfect reflection of the man he was and the joy he brought into every room.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to all who sent messages from here in the UK and around the world. The family, together with his beautiful daughters, Bee Bee Dee and Eva, have been overwhelmed by the warmth, compassion, and love shown to them.
Nearly fifty years of unconditional friendship, a bond that will never be equalled in my lifetime. I will miss my Buddy beyond words.
I know he is watching over us, dancing away with some daft hat on, giving it “Charlie Large,” just as only he could.
Forever loved.
Forever dancing.
Forever missed.
