Liberty approached us to help arrange a charity reading and signing with Julia Donaldson during the Easter holidays.

The event quickly sold out with ticket funds being donated to FeedLondon.org

Julia chose a book close to her heart, her newest release The Bowerbird. 🐦🖊📖

It truly brought joy to so many in the shop, grown-ups and children alike! For those who bought tickets for the reading and those who were shopping and found the signing by chance. Lots of happy children and parents!

Big thanks to everyone involved in making the day such a success.

Allsorted are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Peter Usborne CBE, founder of Usborne Press.

Usborne is described as "one of the greats of publishing" and we couldn't agree more. As Usborne Press celebrate their 50th anniversary this year, he leaves behind an incredible legacy. For that we thank you, Peter.

Members of the trade have paid tribute to Peter Usborne CBE, founder of Usborne Press, who died aged 85 on 30th March, describing him as “a true innovator”, “one of the greats of publishing” and “a bit of a prophet".
