☀ Summer, the perfect time for a marquee ☀

But, here are some helpful tips if it's due to be a hot day...

☀ Opt for having the marquee sides open, allowing for ventilation
☀ If having a frame marquee, consider ceiling linings or not having any clear roofs
☀ Provide lots of chilled drinks! 🥂
☀ Shaded areas outside, like parasols or a sailcloth are perfect for guests to cool off
☀ Consider your timings and the hottest parts of the day

Our rattan lampshades are one of our most popular items and are so versatile, and for good reason! They look incredible attached to the poles as a centrepiece in the marquee or dotted around, surrounding a floral display.

This photo shows a frame marquee with hessian linings, which creates an amazing natural, slightly bohemian vibe, which people often don't associate with a frame marquee - it just goes to show, you really can style a marquee to suit any style.

💚 Fresh, light and beautiful 💚

Absolutely breath-taking. The combination of a traditional wooden pole marquee, hardwood & carpeted flooring, elegant chandeliers, and carefully curated florals created a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. Our limewash round bar is a fabulous touch—so unique and inviting in this space. And that flower ring centrepiece? A true showstopper.

It's wonderful to see how thoughtful styling elements, like tapered candles and scalloped place settings, can elevate an entire marquee setup into something magical. and clearly brought artistry and vision to the tables, making everything look effortlessly beautiful.

Meet Steve, than man behind Abbas Marquees, alongside his wife Kath 🎪

Steve had a long and successful career in the events industry, travelling across Europe, before moving to the South West and taking on Abbas Marquees, (and numerous animals).

Steve is great with clients, loves to make the impossible happen and always wants to ensure the marquee is perfect.

Although he now lives in Somerset, you can't take the City out of him. He loves travel, food and will often be found with a bag of wine-gums, or something sweet! 🍬
