The Gooze is on the looze!

We are taking Silly Gooze to CØMPAKT MINI-MARKET> SMALL PRESS at MOVERS, Nottingham on 26th September hosted by CØMPAKT

As this is a small press publishing fair we are highlighting publications from 2 our of Citizens, Luke Harby and FigHous, as well as a small selection of other Gooze prints and editions.

Luke Harby is an artist who works solely with photographic film. In August 2025 Silly Gooze published his Artists book "Multiples" which we will be showcasing at Compakt. In addition Luke will be selling a small selection of other publications he has produced.

Fig Hous is a Northamptonshire-based illustrator and print maker who has created several risograph zines, prints, cards and postcards with Silly Gooze Editions. Some of her work will be available at the Compakt mini market, including ‘Paying Attention, Issue 1’ which explores her ADHD diagnosis.

We are taking part in Northants & Rutland Open Studios next month, along with some incredibly talented artists across the two counties. We will be open every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout September, but if you're making a special trip then message first just in case!

Pop in for a cuppa, see the Risos in action, chat about any ideas you might have, and see some amazing prints on display.

Created in collaboration with Sara Myer's life drawing sessions, we are offering bespoke Life Drawing to Risograph workshops, that are designed for those who want to take their drawings beyond the sketchbook and into print.

Working in pairs, you’ll bring your own life drawings, either as digital files or original artwork, and learn how to translate them into a two-colour Risograph print. Along the way, we’ll explore the Risograph process, colour layering, and the creative possibilities of working with risograph printing as part of an artistic practice.

This is a more in-depth experience than our usual workshops, with plenty of time for discussion, experimentation, and one-to-one guidance.

Ideal for those curious about printmaking, editoning, and how Risograph might fit into their wider creative work.

We are offering 3 sessions of this 2 hour workshop on Saturday 22nd August. Book online.
