I read these every time I sit at my desk and they never fail to make me smile.

Because let’s be honest, working from home as a business owner isn’t always easy.
💭 Sometimes the motivation just isn’t there
💭 Sometimes the memories hit harder than expected
💭 Sometimes life outside of work takes over

But positivity helps. And so do penguins 🐧💜

Wellll September is definitely Septembering!

It's been 10 days and I've done so much! Can I have a nap please? 😂

💜 My friends wedding, gorgeous location and equally gorgeous bride
💜 First netwalking event in Milton Keynes with Walkabout
💜 Lots of exciting autumn projects and campaigns to create
💜 At Business Buzz Wellingborough we celebrated our 3rd birthday, with lots of lovely new faces!
💜 121s with Judith Chadwick & Emma Fanthom - wonderful chats with both, learning more about their businesses and life in general
💜 Breakfast with the bestie and then fell into the shops and got some pretty new trainers, that I deffo NEEDED 😍
💜 Promoting and selling tickets for our Murder Mystery Night at Finedon Community Centre - if you haven't got a ticket yet, I'd hurry! 😉

Basically, I've had a great time! Met lots of lovely new connections, had great conversations and got my teeth sunk into some super exciting work!

The holiday blues really are real, aren’t they? 😅

I’m back after a lovely little trip to Cornwall to see my bestie 💜

This trip was a big proud moment for me too — I drove there all by myself! This time last year, I’d barely driven on a motorway (the anxiety is real when it comes to driving… thank you, childhood trauma). So driving over 200 miles was a huge achievement 🥰

To clarify: no, I still don’t like driving and yes, I would much rather be the passenger 😂

Now, if anyone finds my work motivation… please send it back my way!

September is already looking like a busy one with lots of exciting things coming up. Happy 1st of the month 🍂

It's official, I'm sneaking a few days off to enjoy the last of the summer! ☀️

I'm going to try my hardest to not think about work, but it's difficult when you run your own business isn't it?! Especially when you're relaxing and the best idea you've EVER had pops into your brain 💡

I was having a conversation with a friend yesterday and they said..

'I bet doing bank holiday posts is so easy for you, you can just copy and paste the same caption to each company'.

WELL. The anger that soared through my veins 🤬😂

No mate, I can not just copy and paste the same caption to every company.

Each account has its own brand, tone of voice, target audience, and goals. If I posted the same thing everywhere, you’d spot me a mile off. My job is to be a secret squirrel riding the waves of the internet 🐿️🌊 … and if all the captions looked the same, then I’d be doing my job VERY wrong.

It takes time, planning, and a lot of thought because I care about getting it right.

We are still friends (JUST 😂)

Anyway, now I've got that off my chest. Hope you have a brill bank holiday weekend and make the most of that extra day off 🫶

✨ Ticked one off the bucket list this weekend – Amsterdam! 🇳🇱

Yes, yes… I know what most people go there for 😉 but honestly, what a beautiful country.

I went with my brother and his better half. We get on like a house on fire… until the airport. Because Airport Becky and Airport Jack are VERY different travellers 😂

✈️ Airport Becky = arrives 3 hours early, mooches duty free, grabs breakfast, maybe a cheeky cocktail. Definitely doesn't rush anywhere!
✈️ Airport Jack = rocks up with 10 minutes to spare, strolling through like nothing’s wrong (while I waddle behind him like a stressed little penguin because his one stride is three of mine).

So tell me… are you an Airport Becky or an Airport Jack?

Hi, I’m Becky 👋

Let me (re)introduce myself, because a lot has changed since I last did this.

When you first meet me, I’m quiet… for about five minutes. Once I know you, I don’t shut up.

I have a terrible sense of humour (send me your best dad joke) and I still love penguins.

I’m clumsy enough that my best friend carries a first aid kit when we’re out together.

I’m still bad at compliments, once I panicked and told someone they had a “nice face.” No regrets.

If you mention you’re planning a party, I’m probably already looking up venues.
