🐾 A very well-deserved shout-out to Nicky!

For two and a half years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Nicky across Dog Gainz and Caring Hands and during that time she has become an amazing friend and one of my biggest supporters.

Nicky is incredibly hardworking and reliable and puts so much into both of her businesses. She genuinely cares about the people and animals she works with and that really shows in everything she does.

💚 I’ve also had the opportunity to work alongside Nicky at Caring Hands, so I’ve seen first-hand just how committed she is.

Two and a half years, two businesses and a friendship I’m incredibly grateful for. I feel very lucky to have Nicky in both my work life and my personal life.

💈 Three years with Wolf Barbers! 🎊

In all the craziness of life, I completely forgot that this month marks three years of working with Chris and Wolf Barbers.

What started as a client relationship has grown into a genuine friendship that I'm incredibly grateful for.

Chris puts his heart and soul into everything he does. I admire the way he leads Wolf, the way he looks after his team and the genuine care he has for the local community. Over the last three years, I’ve watched him organise the Mendip Mental Health Hike, raise an incredible amount for Heads Up Somerset and constantly find ways to give something back.

He's a huge inspiration to me, not just as a business owner but as a person.

Working with people like Chris is exactly why I love what I do. I'm incredibly grateful for every one of my clients and the friendships, trust and support that have grown along the way.

Happy three-year anniversary, Chris. Here's to many more! 💚

💚 Life lately...

This year has reminded me how important it is to make time for the people and moments that matter most.

I've been spending more time with family, catching up with friends, enjoying beautiful walks with Billy and taking the opportunity to reflect as I head towards a big milestone... turning 40 later this year! 🎉

✨ As I also approach four years of Mojo Studio Media, I've realised that running a small business is all about balance. My clients have always been my priority and that will never change, but I've started making more time for myself too. It's been a chance to reflect on how far Mojo has come over the last four years.

📸 Looking back, I'm proud of the businesses I work with and have worked with, the relationships I've built, the friendships I've made and everything this little business has given me. It's also reminded me that consistency, hard work and caring about the people behind each business have been at the heart of Mojo from the very beginning.

📱 World Social Media Day 📱

It is easy to think social media is just about posts, photos and videos, but for me, it has been so much more than that.

Over the years, social media has introduced me to incredible clients, opened doors to opportunities I never imagined and connected me with some genuinely brilliant people.

As someone who once loved writing poetry, creating family newsletters and dreamed of becoming a travel journalist, it is funny how life works out.

Social media has allowed me to combine creativity, communication and business into a career I genuinely love.

Happy World Social Media Day to everyone using these platforms to build businesses, support communities, tell stories and make connections. 💚

✨ I have always been drawn to words, creativity and detail.

From writing poetry when I was younger to putting together a weekly family newsletter with photos and updates, I was always creating something for people to read, look at and connect with.

For a while, I had my sights set on becoming a travel journalist. Looking back, it is interesting how that has carried through, just in a different way.

👩‍💻 Social media gives me that same focus on words, storytelling and understanding an audience, but in a professional setting where what I create supports real businesses and how they are seen.

Sometimes the things you were drawn to early on end up shaping where you go, just in ways you might not have expected.

💚 Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Running a business can be rewarding, but it can also be mentally exhausting at times.

Replying to messages, keeping on top of work, supporting clients, staying organised and trying to switch off properly is not always easy when your mind is constantly thinking about the next thing.

One thing I have learned over the years is how important the people around you are. Good friends, supportive family, loyal clients and honest conversations can make a huge difference on the difficult days.

👩‍💻 Social media can also make it very easy to compare yourself to everyone else, especially in business. Not every success is shared online and not every challenge is visible either.

A reminder this week to check in with people, take breaks when needed and give yourself credit for everything you are managing behind the scenes.

🥾 Calling all local businesses, clients, family and friends.

My amazing friend Chris at Wolf Barbers is hosting the third Mendip Mental Health Hike and is looking for more raffle prizes from local businesses for the after party.

The after party takes place at The Wookey Hole Inn from 5pm and includes:

🎶 Live music.
🎟 Raffles.
🔨 Auction.

Tickets are £10 each and under 14s go free. Tickets can be collected from Wolf Barbers or The Wookey Hole Inn.

The hike itself is also still open for sign ups and every penny raised from the day, raffle, auction and donations goes directly to the local charity Heads Up Somerset.
