Whilst out on tour a few years ago, only a few weeks after a best friend’s sudden passing (I couldn’t even attend his funeral), an ex dumped me by text. Feeling at a loss, crying before and after every show, falling apart, I ended up writing this song. I’d like to thank that ex for giving me the opportunity to prove how strong I am. I’m truly so grateful to them, because now I have this song as an example of my unswerving dedication to expressing myself through music. Here you all are: I NEED TO FEEL YOU CLOSER.
