Wendover Heritage Exhibition taking place at Wendover Community Library from 11-19 September.

Discover Wendover’s fascinating past during Heritage Open Days! 🏛️

Visit the Wendover Heritage Exhibition at Wendover Community Library from Friday 11 to Saturday 19 September. Explore pictures and information about some of the town’s most iconic historic buildings, including The Windmill, The Old Town House and The Old School.

Visit Wendover Community Library on Saturday 19 September for:

✍️ 10am–11am – Time Travel Poetry Workshop with Will Burns
🖨️ 11.30am–3pm – Drop-in letter pressing activity

The Wendover Clock Tower will also be open to visitors on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 September.

Wendover Youth Centre activities this Thursday and Friday.

Are you looking for something fun for your child to do on a Thursday and Friday evening? Here at the Wendover youth centre we run a free relaxed SEND Thursday night games cafe for young people ages 11-14 and a Friday night youth group open for year 5s to year 7s where the children can get involved in active and creative activities or just hang out with their friends.

Thursdays 6:30-8:00pm
Fridays 6:15-8:00pm

Thursday activity: Welcome back/free session

Friday activity: Football on the 3G⚽️

Fridays entry fee is £3 per child on the night or by standing order.

Wendover Youth Centre is celebrating 40 years by hosting an event this afternoon.

One more day to go! 🎉

Wendover Youth Centre turned 40 this summer and to celebrate we are holding an Open Day on Saturday the 5th of September 2-5pm. This is a chance to look around the Centre and enjoy some of the activities on offer. Please see attached flyer for details of these.

🚨 REMINDER: between 11pm and 5am, 4-6 September, an abnormal load required for the ongoing HS2 works will be travelling on our road network.

The route will run from the M40, hold at the layby between the M40 and A40, moving onto the Beaconsfield relief road from Pybush roundabout, onto the A355 travelling to Gore Hill, left at Gore Hill onto the A413, right at Amersham (A404), onto the Little Missenden bypass, following the A413 to Great Missenden where the loads will enter our North Portal site entrance.

Please avoid the area or take an alternative route during these times.

Richard Byford’s review of The Choir of Man.
I had a funny evening in the pub this week. Firstly, because it was on the stage of Aylesbury’s Waterside theatre, and secondly, because it was full of funny blokes. I might add that the pub will only exist until Saturday 5 September, when it will be moved to another town. Oh, and 123 people in the audience gave a stunning, well-rehearsed, performance.
Sadly, I had been away over the bank holiday weekend, so missed Wendover’s famed Pub Trail event.
