Two large tunnel segments will be delivered along the A413 for the construction of the Wendover Green Tunnel overnight in mid-October. Due to their size they are classed as abnormal loads. These will be delivered to the Wendover bypass.

The abnormal loads will be completed overnight from Tuesday 14 October to Wednesday 15 October, from 8.30pm to 5.30am. To safely deliver these tunnel segments, temporary overnight 3 and 2 way traffic management on the A413 will be set up at the Railway bridge and Small Dean Viaduct.

If anyone has any information about the vandalism at College Lake Nature Reserve last night please contact 101.

We’re saddened and frustrated today due to vandals breaking in overnight and building a fire in our Children’s seating area (which is not a fire pit). They have burnt expensive wood which was part of our new, under construction, wildlife garden information centre.
Crime ref no. 43250513490 101:0785075. If anyone has any information, please call 101.

From October 2025, intermittent clearing of the carriageway of the A413 Wendover bypass will be undertaken. Due to road sweepers being in operation, there may be times where it is necessary to close the bypass (northbound only) for up to 1-hour.

In the October issue of Wendover News it erroneously mentions that Calibre Book Club for the visually impaired on the first Friday of each month is held in Weston Turville Library. It is in fact held in Wendover Community Library. For details of this and other book clubs go to:

Calibre Audio offers a support scheme for book groups with members who would qualify for our service.
