Legendary Punjabi music composer Charanjit Ahuja, known for hits many hits including Kee Banu Duniyan Da and Dushmani Jattan Di, has died at the age of 72 in Mohali.

He worked with many legends of the industry including Chamkila, Sardoor Sikander, Kuldeep Manak, Surinder Shinda and many more.

We are sending our condolences to the Charanjit’s family and fans across the world.

Breaking News: West Midlands Police investigating the racially-motivated attack of a Sikh women in Oldbury on Tuesday, have confirmed this evening (Sunday) they have arrested a man who remains in custody.

Chief Superintendent Kim Madill, of Sandwell Police, said: "This is a significant development in the investigation and we want to thank the community for their continuing support.

"The investigation remains on-going and we would urge people not to speculate as we work to identify and trace all those who may have been involved."

Officers investigating a racially-motivated r**e in Oldbury have this evening (Sunday) arrested a man.

The man, in his 30s, was detained as part of enquiries into the assault in the Tame Road area on Tuesday morning. He remains in custody tonight on suspicion of r**e.

The woman is continuing to receive support as investigations continue.

It is with great sadness that we have learned about the passing of the legendary runner Fauja Singh Ji in Punjab, India at the age of 114.

Fauja Singh was a globally recognised a marathon runner. Fauja Singh is the holder of several records for fastest nonagenarian, he also claimed eight centenarian distance records from 100 metres through to 5,000 metres including the completion of the Toronto waterfront marathon in 2011 aged 100.

In 2004 Fauja Singh’s was the poster boy for Adidas's "Impossible is nothing" advertising campaign, which helped establish Fauja Singh as one of the most internationally recognised Sikh athletes as well as raise awareness of his proud Sikh values and culture globally.

Fauja Singh’s legacy will continue to inspire generations to come and everyone will remember the awareness he brought to turban wearing Sikhs across the world with his sporting achievements.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones, and everyone that was inspired by his extraordinary achievements .
