🏁 MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: The Final Total is In! 🏁

When we (Charlie & Luke) first sat down with a vision for the Tower2Tower walk, we set what we thought was a lofty goal: raising £1,500 to give £750 each to our local school and cricket club.

Today, we are absolutely overwhelmed to announce that thanks to your incredible generosity, we have raised a grand total of £6,860!

This means we are in the process of delivering £3,430 each to Mersea Island School and West Mersea Cricket Club this week.

To every donor, every business sponsor, and everyone who cheered us on from the sidelines or followed our tracking link - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The support from the Mersea community has been truly spectacular and will make a real impact for these two vital local institutions.

🗼 What’s Coming Next???

Tower2Tower is going away for a few months to let our legs finally recover, but we promise you this: we will be back next year. We’re already planning how to make it bigger, better, and even more "damaging" to our legs for the sake of our community!

Since we set off from the Tower of London, we have been blown away by the community spirit that has carried us across every one of those 56.8 miles. Whether it was the rain-soaked training walks or the sun-drenched arrival at the Mersea Water Tower, your support has made this "Walk of Champions" a reality.

We had an absolute blast on our 56.8-mile journey from London back to the island! It was a weekend of hard miles, great banter, and incredible community spirit.

It takes a special kind of dedication to spend two days trailing a pair of walkers at 3.5mph, and we couldn't have made it back to the island without our unsung heroes in the support bus.

​Jamie and Kevin really deserve all the credit in the world for their tireless support. We know neither of them would have asked for this shout-out, but they were the engine behind the entire Tower2Tower journey.

​They’ve handled every logistical challenge we threw their way with a smile. This includes being dispatched into the middle of the countryside on a mission to find a pair of scissors and a Scotch egg!

From coordinating our stops to keeping us fueled and motivated, they were there for every single one of the 57.62 miles.

​A massive thank you to these two legends for everything they gave to help us support the Mersea community.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: WE ARE HOME!

​We’ve officially crossed the finish line! After setting off from the Tower of London on Friday morning, we arrived back at the West Mersea Water Tower to the most incredible reception. Hearing those cheers as we hit the island made every single blister worth it.

​Total Distance Covered: 57.62 miles.

​Total Moving Time: 17 hours and 5 minutes.

WHAT A DAY!!!

Aches, pains, blisters, but plenty of good company and good chat today. Plus more importantly good work towards two great causes!!

We've had funds flying in from cash, cheques, online and bank transfers so while we are out on the road it's hard to tell exactly - however we know we are now certainly over £6k. All we can say is WOW!!

We've been making videos every mile, which we will collate and share at the end. We move from elated, to depressed, onto shock and eventually just losing the plot.

It's been really great feeling everyone in sport with us. At some point tomorrow you should find us at the Mersea Island Water Tower.
