It was great to meet Gemma, a valued member of the RNLI shore-based crew. These often unsung heroes play a vital role in lifeboat operations, ensuring rapid response times and speedy launches that save precious minutes – and lives.

The RNLI shore crew are an integral part of the lifesaving system, working seamlessly with volunteer lifeboat crews to support maritime rescue, sea safety, and emergency response along our coastlines.

✨ Heroes Project Update! ✨

Last week, I had the privilege of visiting Bristol Airport and spending time with one of their incredible firefighting crews as part of my ongoing Heroes Project. 🚒✈️

Meeting the team who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep passengers safe was truly inspiring. Their dedication, courage, and commitment to protecting others remind me exactly why this project exists — to shine a light on the everyday heroes who rarely get the recognition they deserve.

From advanced training to real-world emergency response, these firefighters demonstrate professionalism at the highest level. I’m grateful for their warm welcome and for allowing me to share their story.
