The third guest on the special on Wednesday 11th December 1pm will be:
Karen Osborne gave up a successful career working with still photographers to become a full-time artist. Working in her garden studio, Karen is an abstract and semi-abstract expressionist painter, working in acrylic, mixed media and watercolour. She likes to express the diversity of nature, as well as find detail within objects, manmade and natural.

K J Osborne Artist showcases my body of contemporary artwork encompassing semi abstract and abstract acrylic and mixed media paintings. Inspired by a love of vibrant colour and intense mark making, but above all by a fascination with the beauty of the natural world.

Kerry Bennett is Income Generation and Marketing Director for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Care. She will be talking about the Appeal, Christmas events and a reflective walk around the lake, as well as what happens at the Hospice during Christmas and plans for 2025.

Lina Alousta is a Surrey-based intuitive abstract artist with a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design. Her work is all about creating bold, intuitive gestures inspired by the colours in her surroundings and the changing seasons of nature. She works in acrylics, occasionally in watercolours and is taking part in the ArtFusion Exhibition at Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking, Surrey until 15th December.

A former corporate engineer, at the age of 50, Renu trained at Leith’s School of Food and Wine. In this book, Renu takes complex cooking techniques and recipes and reformulates them to create a range of dishes that anyone can make. These include Mediterranean Fish Soup, Anything Goes Pesto, Pork and Fennel Sausage Rolls and Irish Cream Liqueur Tiramisu.

Join Jackie Mitchell & Samantha Carr on Tuesday 19th November 1pm for . the show is repeated the following Monday evening at 7pm and available to listen again on the web site. They will be talking to the following guests:
Sharon Finch’s first book “The Wig Files”, published this year tells the story of rookie agent Eric, who is recruited into the world of Spy Earwigs. Sharon is also a librarian and artist. After 20 years of working for the civil service she decided to go underground and immerse herself into a world of insects and espionage. While this is a children’s book, she hopes that it will have wider appeal for adult audiences. A former Just Women presenter, she lives in Surrey with her family and ferocious cat, Kiki. In her spare time, she produces botanical art using vintage photographic processes.

The third guest on the show on Wednesday 23 October at 1pm will be:
Yasmine Giles is a professional musician, singer, author and composer. Yasmine and her husband Peter Giles will be launching a new album shortly - all songs written, arranged, performed and recorded by them. Some of these songs will be performed in her new show “Yasmine Giles: Her Voice and Piano”. This takes place at Claygate Village Hall, Surrey on Saturday 9 November 8pm. She has published her first cookbook “The Demerara Heart Cookbook” and is writing the second. She is also a teacher of piano and singing. The couple have their own music show on Brooklands Radio.

Professional musicians, Yasmine and Peter Giles (formerly of King Crimson) present their first album together. Planet Giles gives information about the album, Insights, as well as details of upcoming concerts, tickets and how to download tracks or buy the album CD.
