This week at Briscoe PR…

It was a short week with the Bank Holiday Monday, but the team packed plenty in!

⭐️ On Tuesday, Bella made the trip to Brockenhurst to meet New Forest Shortbread and film content for Westlands Farm Shop’s Supplier Spotlight series 🍪

⭐️ The whole Briscoe PR team had a productive meeting with Breckenridge - The Growth Agency to discuss HubSpot training and how we can keep improving our systems and processes.

⭐️ Kevin enjoyed a coffee catch-up with Alison Craig from Alison Craig Consulting at the stylish Harbar on 6th, at Harbour Hotel Southampton – chatting all things personal brand and leadership training ☕

⭐️ Later in the week, Bella and Kevin headed to The Hotwalls in Southsea for a photoshoot focused on Kevin’s director profiling and personal branding ventures for LinkedIn 📸

⭐️ Becca met with Sam from Daily Bread SEO agency to explore exciting improvements to our website. It was all about making sure Briscoe PR’s online presence reflects the same high-quality service we deliver to clients. Watch this space!

⭐️ Harriet focused on crafting newsletters for both our clients and Briscoe PR. This included curating news, updates, and creative content that keeps audiences engaged. Newsletters are such an underrated PR tool – they’re a brilliant way to maintain consistent touch-points with audiences.

⭐️ Charlie has been diving into research and brainstorming sessions to shape fresh content ideas for October – yes, we’re already thinking that far ahead! 🎃

🔄 Instagram Reposts, Friends Map & Friends-in-Reels Tab
You can now repost public Reels and feed posts, with proper credit to creators, and they’ll get their own “Reposts” tab on your profile. The new Friends Map (opt-in) lets you see where your friends are posting (only when the app is open), while the Friends section in Reels shows what your friends are liking and engaging with.

We see so many different campaigns every day - some we like and take inspiration from to help our clients, and some we don’t.

Our favourite campaign from this summer so far? Coca-Cola’s “Share a Coke” reboot ❤️

It’s not easy to bring back a global classic and still make it feel fresh, but this one nailed it. The return of personalised bottles - now with names, nicknames and phrases like “My Bae” and “Squad” - tapped into pure nostalgia while still speaking to a younger audience. Even better, the QR codes on-pack led to a digital hub where people could customise content and share it with friends, making the campaign feel both interactive and personal. Social media lit up with people sharing their bottles, their stories and their summer memories.

A reminder that even the most iconic campaigns can evolve and still spark fresh connections.

This week at Briscoe PR…

⭐️ On Tuesday, Kevin was in the studio in Portsmouth with Tomas Jurjonas recording a series of videos for social media content. Keep your eyes peeled from September when we’ll be sharing lots more around personal branding and director profiling 👀

⭐️ Becca and Harriet spent time at Boathouse Swanwick this week, meeting the new manager, building relationships and establishing our role moving forward. They also filmed an interview with the new head chef for social media where they discussed the interesting backstory of a popular dish.

⭐️ Bella visited Westlands Farm Shop for the monthly meeting and activity report, as well as wrapping up content calendars for all our clients ready for sign-off and scheduling next week.

⭐️ On Wednesday, Kevin headed to Ocean Village in Southampton for a meeting at the fabulous Blue Jasmine restaurant with a prospect who wanted to learn more about the PR services we offer and how we could bring our sector expertise to their business.

⭐️ Becca and Harriet met up in Basingstoke and worked remotely from Arena Offices’ Grosvenor House. They made the most of a change of scenery and enjoyed lunch together!

⭐️ Thursday brought a very welcome coffee catch-up for Kevin at Boathouse Swanwick. He met with Chris Braniff, MD of Pelican Business Insurance where they chatted through some really exciting news for the business… but you’ll have to wait a little longer before we can share the details! ☕

To gate or not to gate?

Gated content is content that requires the user to provide personal information (like their name and email) before they can access the content 🔒

Gating lets businesses segment audiences by interest and gather valuable intent data. However, the content must be worth the gate. If users fill out a form and get little value, they’ll be disappointed and may lose trust in your brand.

Successful gated content provides real value. If prospects see it as worth the exchange, you’ve either built trust through free resources or created something genuinely useful.

While gating helps identify intent, it limits reach. Hiding your best trust-building content could mean missing top leads.

Interestingly, Instagram is testing an “unlockable” Reels feature - password-protected content just for certain groups. Intriguing possibilities… 👀

This Week at Briscoe PR…

⭐️ We’ve been trying something new in the office — a dedicated, organised lunch break for the whole team. It’s a chance to step away from our screens, have a proper catch-up, and reset for the afternoon. Even Becca, who works from home, joins us remotely!

⭐️ On Tuesday, Charlie and Bella were out on the road for content visits at Westlands Farm Shop in both Wickham and Wi******er. The team was in full summer mode, and they even came back with a complimentary tray of juicy strawberries. (Perks of the job!)

⭐️ Wednesday was a huge milestone for Bella as she completed the final stage of her apprenticeship — the end point assessment presentation and questioning. We’re thrilled to say that she’s now officially finished!

⭐️ Later that afternoon, the whole team swapped our desks for teacups at Arena Offices’ Lancaster Court Afternoon Tea. Plenty of scones, jam, cream and cake were consumed!

⭐️ Bella and Charlie also attended two Ideal Collection venues for content visits. They spent the day at The White Horse Otterbourne and Kimbridge Barn in Romsey, capturing new imagery and videos to keep our clients’ content fresh and seasonal.
