It's taken five years but finally Roland produced not one but two decent boutique synths which actually add new features over the original models instead of just being miniaturised digital replicas. Features like bitimbrality, two track sequencer and effects should have been standard from the first generation of boutiques. I'd like to see Roland build on this and update earlier boutiques and/or release new synths in this form factor with enhanced feature sets. What could they (re)release in this form factor and what (realistic) updated or new features could they have?
