Well… Palma has started VERY well 🇪🇸☀️😂
Our first evening and honestly, what a lovely one. ❤️

Amazing company, wandering through Palma and then stumbling across the gorgeous little for dinner.

We started with bruschetta — classic tomato and basil and a pear, Gorgonzola & walnut one 🤤 — and then I had the most AMAZING osso buco.
Seriously. THAT FOOD. 😍

Then we got back to our room at Hotel Victoria Gran Meliá to find a handwritten welcome note, traditional Mallorcan treats and water waiting for us. 🥹 Such a lovely little surprise to come back to.

Considering we'd travelled through the night and were running on very little sleep, I think we did pretty bloody well 😂

If this is night one, I can't wait to see what the rest of Palma has in store. 🥂☀️

Domestic abusers can STILL be released early. And I'm absolutely furious. 😡

The Government has expanded the list of serious offences excluded from its new early-release arrangements.

Manslaughter is now excluded.

Rapists, serious child s*x offenders and groomers are excluded.

Other serious offences have also been added.

But domestic abuse perpetrators have NOT been excluded as a category.

Instead, we're being reassured that victims will be protected when perpetrators are released through measures including electronic tagging and new “restriction zones” for some offenders.

I'm sorry, but HOW does that make sense?

If somebody poses enough of a risk that their victim needs protecting through GPS monitoring and geographical restrictions...

why are we releasing them early?

For some survivors, prison may be the first time in years they've felt safe.

Imagine finally being able to breathe — only to discover the person who controlled, stalked, threatened or assaulted you could be coming out earlier than expected.

And suddenly you're worrying again.

Will the tag work?

Will they obey the restrictions?

What happens if they don't?

Will somebody respond quickly enough?

More than 100 domestic abuse organisations have written to Prime Minister Andy Burnham calling for the Government to rethink this.

I understand our prisons are overcrowded.

But the Government has already decided that some offences are too serious to qualify.

Domestic abuse should be treated with that same seriousness.

Victims shouldn't have to carry additional fear because the prison system is under pressure.

What do you think — should domestic abuse perpetrators be excluded from early release?
