South Lancs Amateur Radio Club is a friendly and inclusive community of amateur (ham) radio enthusiasts who share a passion for radio communication, electronics, and experimentation. The club promotes hands-on learning across HF, VHF, and UHF operating, digital modes, antennas, and portable operating. With a new committee bringing fresh energy, South Lancs ARC actively assists new members on their amateur radio journey, works closely with Wigan Sea Cadets, and engages public interest by demonstrating the value of amateur radio in education, community, and emergency communications. The club also introduces exciting new activities such as ADRF events and 2m/70cm/HF field days, all while staying true to its welcoming, community-focused spirit.
