Sometimes the smallest job can make the biggest difference 🎥

The latest collaboration with Age UK Wigan Borough shows how their paid services help people keep their independance and feel confident in their own homes.

The handyperson service can help with things like hand rails, keysafes and general household DIY.

The home help service can help with things like cleaning, shopping and meal preparation.

But it isn't just about getting jobs done, it's about trust, piece of mind and making life that little bit easier.

New Video Work - Age UK Wigan Borough 🎥

Here is another video project developed in partnership with Age UK Wigan Borough, this time promoting their information and advice service.

This important service can help releive worrying financial pressures that a lot of elderly people are facing.

One phone call help make those little decisions just that bit easier.

Many thanks to local man John for starring in the video and agreeing to let us shoot inside his home.

Some before and after colour grading from a recent video I put together.

On fast paced shoots like this, you don’t have time for a lighting setup.

In fact, all the clips you see were shot using just the room lighting.

So when colour grading the clips, you need to get the basics sorted first.

✅ Balanced exposure
✅ Accurate skin tones
✅ Correct white balance

Any tweaks with the colour after this are personal preference.

But the key here is to get the clip looking the same as it did in real life.

Here are selection of recent stills from a video shoot for Age UK Wigan Borough.

Quite a lot of shoots involve making regular activities look good.

This one was no different.

Sometimes shoots like this involve filming in small spaces and locations you haven’t seen before.

When it comes to this, I like to experiment with many different things.

✅ Different angles
✅ Various focal lengths
✅ Adding slight movement
✅ Shoot with items in the foreground

Some things work, some don’t. You just have to adapt on the spot.

The important thing is to just try things. You never know how they will turn out.

I made most of the natural light coming through the window.

Shot on Sony FX3 and Sigma 24-70 at around 50mm.

New Video Work - Age UK Wigan Borough 🎥

Here is my latest project developed in partnership with Age UK Wigan Borough that highlights their Bright Days programme.

In a nutshell, Bright days is a range of activites for the older generation that live in the Wigan Borough area.

But it's also so much more than that.

It isn't just about the activities. It's about confidence, friendships and helping older people feel part of their community.

Social isolation is a becoming a big thing among older people. It's sad to think that some people can go days without even seeing or talking to a single person.

The activites in this programme are helping tackle isolation and so much more.

This video helps to capture the spirit of the Bright Days programme and showcase the impact this programme is having on people in the local community.

A big thanks to all who helped make this short film come to life. From the participants to the dedicated staff and volunteers.
