On 1st October 1986 , Mark opened the doors for the first time at Ashton Upholstery.

During the next 39 years the company has become a true family business, 3 generations have worked here , from Mark's father Malcolm to his 5 children , some from a very early age .

The company over the last 10 years has established itself as a bespoke specialist in a very tough market , a small local business among huge chains , keeping trading with honest and caring values , the sense of community and amazing local support ❤️

With constant change we have this week expanded our manufacturing to a new in house system , together with furniture repair and recovering, this is with our new company partners MC Upholstery .

As Mark runs this side of the operation its a change at the top as we announce Liam Cowley as the new Managing Director at Ashton upholstery , this new and deserved roll will take the company forward and into the next decades with Mark as his sounding board and designer of all new products...a dream team ✅️

Ashton Upholstery will continue with its core values of kindness and respect to the wonderful community that have supported us over many decades ❤️

Please wish Liam well in what will be a huge step up of responsibility and massive shoes to fill .He has the experience and youth on his side to take us to another level .
