🚨🚨FINAL NOTICE🚨🚨

If youve been nominated for an award at our presentation night in December and havent messaged us privately and had your official invite from us for you and your +1, then tonight is your last chance to get in touch.

There is a waiting list of approximately 20 so its only fair they can make arrangements and attend if you cant make it. We appreciate how close to Xmas it is so people will have commitments.

There are only two award winners who havent confirmed they want their seats as yet, so any remaining seats will be redistributed. Thanks guys

Achieving our goals day by day, week by week, month by month.

As many of you know our playing team is all inclusive. Unless EXCEPTIONAL circumstances its not a place for club Open Age players. In fact this year we only had 2 players all season who play regular OA rugby and one played in just one fixture and the other in 3 games.

Theres plenty of opportunities already in the community for OA players as it is, theyve got a skillset and readiness to play in that environment.

However, what we do try and do is "light that fire" of those who feel their time isnt up just yet, in a relaxed environment show them what theyve been missing since hanging up their boots, inspire their love of rugby, the dressing room and the team bond.

Well remember what I said about 2 OA Players all season.....Yesterday Fat Monkey were represented by SIX players in various rugby union 2nd and 3rd XVs. Players who had the confidence to strap em on once again competitvely, who were promised they were only needed for 10minutes but ended up playing the full 80.

Guys youve made us incredibly proud and we hope to continue this reintegration of our squad back into OA rugby. In the words of Take That - "Relight my Fire" and "Back for Good"

A huge thanks to Sugar Skull Spirits for sponsoring the Coaches Player of the Year award at our Presentation evening in December. We will have a bottle of their Fat Monkey gin as a prize on the night too.

Theres not truer saying than your health is your wealth as we wish the speediest and fullest of recoveries to Monkey player Mike Wright.

A top bloke who is involved in everything we do on and off the field. , Its our turn to be there for him now.

Having been hit by a bail falling from height weighing over 400kg at work he has broken more than one of his vertebrae and is currently bed bound in hospital. He seems in good spirits but im sure he'd be motivated by some well wishes from the rugby community. We are all with you Wrighty
