I found this video very informative and educational, and I had to share it.

Many people donโ€™t fully understand the difference between being nice and being kind. Weโ€™re often taught, โ€œIf you donโ€™t have anything nice to say, donโ€™t say anything at all,โ€ but kindness isnโ€™t the same as silence.

Niceness avoids discomfort.
Kindness chooses honesty with care.

You canโ€™t always be both at the same time, and many of us mistake niceness for kindness. I think itโ€™s high time we truly understand the difference.

Niceness keeps the room calm.
Kindness keeps the truth intact.
If it never feels uncomfortable, itโ€™s probably just politeness doing its job.

Welcomed the New Year at St Ives Harbour in Cornwall. It was the most surreal experience I have ever had. Seeing so many people dressed up in costumes and having the time of their lives was amazing to witness. Experiencing it again, for the second time in around four years, made me want to return in the future. New Yearโ€™s Eve in St Ives is always full of fun and unforgettable memories.
