This coming Saturday (19th Sept) is Wimborne's long-awaited Food Festival, with FREE delicious events going on around the town. Get your teeth into sumptuous food and drink tastings, live cooking demos, local food and artisan stalls, live music, alfresco street parties and scrumptious special offers.
To whet your appetite, tune in to Radio Wimborne this coming Monday (14th Sept) at 10am, for Monday Brunch with Glen Fowler and Malcolm Angel. They'll be talking to a number of the experts booked for Festival day on Saturday. On the show you'll hear:
Colin Nash, the headline chef. He brings more than three decades of experience from the kitchens of renowned restaurants including his own restaurant – The Colin Nash Restaurant at The Retreat, near Christchurch.
Maggie Richardson, a former contestant on Channel 4's Great British Bake Off, and known as the 'Seaside Baker'.
Pete Miles, owner of Dorset Oysters. His talk, ‘Dorset Oysters - Seed to Plate’ will lift the lid on the journey of an oyster - from its beginnings as a seed in the nutrient-rich waters of Poole Harbour, to the moment it’s shucked, cooked and enjoyed.
Wimborne chef Colm McKavanagh, from Rivers Edge Bistro. He is teaming up with award-winning Salamander Cookshop, to present "Tricks with Tortilla". He will show how to make a classic Tortilla Española, served with sheep’s cheese, aioli and roast pepper purée. The demonstration will also feature state-of-the-art cookware selected by Salamander Cookshop.
Plus Tammy Sleet from Wimborne BID, and possibly more....
It's all on Monday Brunch with Glen and Malcolm, from 10am.
