Each Tuesday is "Music through the 60s and 70s Day" on Radio Wimborne.

At 3pm, Mike Hardy takes you on a Sixties musical journey with his SOUNDS LIKE THE 60s SHOW...and this week it's a random selction of his favourite hits from The 60s.

Then, at 7pm, it's the turn of Derek Pipe and THE '70s SHOW. He'll be travelling back in time to the era of Flares, Disco Mania, and Glam Rock...and this week Derek will be playing tracks from US Number 1 albums from the 70s.

Today (Mon 15th June), Pipp Hamilton will be reading the last installment of "Mystery Mile" by Marjery Allingham. It starts at 11pm.
This means that from tomorrow, Pipp will be reading a new classic book: "The Diary of a Provincial Lady" by E.M. Delafield.
First published in 1930, this charming, delightful and extremely funny book about daily life in a frugal English household, was named by booksellers as the out-of-print novel most deserving of republication.
A Good Read with Pipp Hamilton is on Radio Wimborne every weekday evening at 11pm.

We are delighted to announce that the RADIO WIMBORNE PUB QUIZ is back for 2026.

Following last year's successful inaugural tournament, where pub teams compete against other pub teams, we are proud to announce this second Wimborne-wide competition. There will be heats, semi-finals and a grand final,

Each of the quizzes will be broadcast LIVE on Tuesday evenings at 8pm, from one of the competing pubs, and hosted by our very own breakfast show presenter Matt Fleming. This year there are 12 pubs taking part, and the first fixture is tomorrow Tuesday (16th June) at The King's Head, Wimborne Square. The King's Head home team will be competing against the visiting team from The Ferndown Forest Golf Club, West Moors. You can listen LIVE, at home, this Tuesday at 8pm, for an hour.

If you're going along to The King's Head on Tuesday evening, the fun starts at 7pm; the Quiz starts at 7.30pm, and the live broadcast will be from 8pm.

Next week's quiz will take place at The Green Man, where the home team will face The Oddfellows Arms.

The grand final will take place on Tues 18th August -- but there's a lot of quizzing to do between now and then!
