I have a passion for working with women through their journey into motherhood. As a physiotherapist with over 10 years experience, I restore movement, build confidence and support pelvic health. I am a scar work practitioner and can help your recovery from and surgery encouraging optimal healing, improved sensation and appearance. I also offer ante and postnatal Pilates, both classes and 1:1's and have a podcast TINTOTALKS interviewing mothers about birth and parenthood.

Another day, another reflection

Progress comes from movement in the right direction. Micro changes that lead to compound shifts. If you are following you might have noticed the micro-moment challenge I have been setting to show how small acts for yourself can have a huge impact in your wellbeing.

It’s important to take ownership for the fact that only YOU are going to change your life.

If you want to learn French you need to take classes, if you want to run a marathon you have to start running, if you are not happy in your current job/relationship only you can take the action to change it.

Not a popular POV 😖

I do understand that sometimes it’s easier to make changes and everyone’s situations and support systems are different.

But, I know from my own experience as a young teenager that lost my hair: miserable, scared and depressed, that this was not how I wanted to live my life. I did not want to be anxious about going out. I did not want to be held by my aesthetic appearance, so… I set to work.

I found a team of people to support me, be that friends or professionals and I worked hard on understanding how mindset plays the huge part in my daily experience of life. I showed up day after day, year after year. I felt s**t. I felt hard done by. I asked why me. But I still chose to work towards not feeling how I did.

I have spent 30 years working on becoming the person that I am today. It’s is still constant work. I’m sure I will never be done.

I have often wondered if it was the Alopecia who made me who I am or me who got me through it.
I like to think the latter.

Life throws all sorts of challenges our way and it is important to know that you do have control over how you react and show up. It’s also okay to have bad days, we all have them.

Somethings are in our control and some are not.

If we work towards changing what is in our control, often you can start to feel and see improvements.

You don’t need to do it alone. But knowing that the power is within you is a great starting point.
Then find your team and support system set your goals and boundaries and start building the life that you know you deserve.

REALISE: My word for 2025

💥To realise and understand the impact of my strengths, blocks and barriers.
💥To realise my goals and dreams and make s**z happen.

I have realised that I am who I am through the experiences I have gone through.

I have lived with auto immune conditions most of my life and I have chosen to not let them hold me back.

I am also realising this strength and determination can lead me to failure when I burn out.

But …I am listening and I am learning.

⚡️I am busy
⚡️I am an ideas girl
⚡️I am constantly striving
⚡️I am a an over achiever

But equally…

🖤I am chaotic
🖤I burn out regularly
🖤I find it hard to relax
🖤I don’t understand in action

You have to see all sides of your character to really understand yourself and see how you can continue to make improvements.

Instagram has a habit of showing the best of people. What they constantly achieve, not what they don’t. I am here to show you how you can make steps towards improving how you feel through your postpartum recovery and beyond by taking action.

Health is mutlifasceted.
Physical, emotional, cyclical and spiritual.

With any rehabilitation you can be given all of the information in the world but without the self-realisation about where you are at and then the action to move you forwards nothing will change.

What is it that holds you back from taking action in your postpartum recovery?
