Warsash just fell short in its remarkable quest to win the Apsley League, but they crushed it in Hampshire's Summer Men's Doubles leagues. Warsash are this summer's men's doubles champions after ending their Division One campaign undefeated.

Six clubs enjoyed championship runs across the other seven divisions. Congratulations in particular to David Lloyd West End, who won Divisions 5A and 5B, a double crown!

Based on results, Court X and Kingsgate will be promoted from Division Two after coming first and second in the Second Division this summer.

Congratulations as well to Avenue, South Hants, Bassett, Riverside and Portswood who all won divisions they competed in.

🔥🏆 Hampshire’s singles scene has a new set of champions! The summer battles are done, but the next round is already calling… 🎾✨

Congratulations to Hampshire's singles box champions!

The round has closed and winners have emerged across all nine boxes. Wi******er's Kristian Hook won top honours this summer, winning Box One and taking the crown from Thomas Dow.

Warsash's Jeff Claridge emerged victorious from a frenetic Box Three, where 18 matches were played between all seven box players. Every player was active, and Jeff won all but one of his six matches.

🔥 The summer battles are over, and the dust has settled! Who rose, who slipped, and who survived the toughest season yet? 🎾

The final tables are done for the Apsley League, with Divisions One and Four now finally settled.

All the action was in Division One, where Thornden B jumped two places to safety, and Riverside B slid two places into relegation, after all the results landed online. Four teams ended the summer with six points each, putting the Rubber Differential to the test.

With a Rubber Differentia of minus 8, Riverside B actually equalled or bettered almost every team to end on six points. Bit points are crucial, and despite performing well in their events, they only accumulated five points for the whole summer, and go down with Totton & Eling A as a result.

There's no change to the standings in Division Four from last week, as top of the table Compton & Shawford B extended their lead over second-placed Totton & Eling B thanks to their weekend win.

🔥 What a finish to the summer! The last weekend of Apsley action brought twists, survival battles, and bragging rights on the line…

The final four Apsley results are in, and the weekend brought a worthy end to a great summer of action!

As predicted on the podcast, the meeting between David Lloyd Southampton B and Riverside B ended up being the most important result of the weekend, as results elsewhere means the winner of that fixture would survive for another year in Division One - at the expense of the loser. David Lloyd won a close fixture 5-3, taking three of the four mixed doubles events and both men's matches. That result keeps them up and sends Riverside down.

Elsewhere in Div One, Totton & Eling A very nearly got a win that would have ended Dave's podcast career prematurely. They dropped three rubbers in the mixed doubles round, at which point they were on course for the loss against Thornden that Dave overconfidently predicted last episode. But Totton won three of the four events in men's and women's doubles, leaving the fixture a 4-4 draw. Bassett B also got a good draw at home to Lee on Solent - the first time all summer Lee have dropped any points at all.

In Division Four, Compton & Shawford B won the battle of the bragging rights, though Totton & Eling B made a great fight out of it. Compton's 5-3 win against Totton means they end in first place on 14 points, AND have bragging rights against Totton, who will be promoted in second place on 9 points.

🎾 Another summer season in the books, but what a way to end it!

Another must-listen from the court side of Hampshire! The summer may be ending, but the excitement is still alive…

In this episode: the Div One survival fight goes right to the wire, four teams, one weekend to decide it all 🔥🎾

The sun is dropping that bit earlier, players are dropping out of the pro tour to rest and there are just four fixtures left in the Apsley League, summer is well and truly coming to an end around us.

With the final weekend ahead, we look at the biggest prize left on offer, Division One survival. All four teams at the bottom of Div One are in action this weekend. Which two teams will survive out of Riverside B, David Lloyd Southampton B and Thornden B? One of them will be toast by Sunday. Well, in Div Two anyways.

We salute Riverside, who played both their remaining Premier Division fixtures to finish as high up the Premier Division as possible with maximum points from a busy weekend of road tripping.

Elsewhere, the current round of the Hampshire singles boxes also come to a close this weekend, and Tom’s been padelling again.

🔥 Don’t miss this one, tune in now!
