Today is International Karaoke Day! It all started in the early 1970s in Japan, where an orchestra in Kobe had gone on strike. So a musician invented a karaoke machine. The word itself means "empty orchestra" in Japanese. The most popular karaoke songs are “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen and “Dancing Queen” by ABBA. 🎙️

I love singing and karaoke: it's both fun and healthy. I have been a choir member on and off since I was 8! What is your favourite karaoke song? 🎤

Today is National Give Something Away Day! Linda Eaton Hall-Fulcher started this to give away what we don't need and avoid overconsumption. 🌎

Decluttering gives me peace of mind, it is so relaxing! But it is also good for our planet. So how about donating items we don't use? My favourite places to go to are: our local library, school, charity shops and food pantries.

This summer, let's make a plan to:

📦 clear out our homes and donate our excess belongings
😇 volunteer for the causes we care for
📢 fundraise for our favourite charities
