Helping to reduce loneliness & isolation - the FREE monthly 'Vintage Fun' sessions held in Wi******er City-Centre offer the opportunity to get together over a cuppa and nice piece of cake or a biscuit, enjoy catching up on life, and sometimes take part in an activity or two. This afternoon's session was a Music Quiz!

Usually held on the second Monday afternoon of each calendar month between 2pm to 4pm, at the United Church, Wi******er on Jewry Street. Brilliantly organised each month by Pamela and her merry crew. Today's cakes including some delicious homemade apple cake and scrummy Easter biscuits by regular attendee Pam.

Photos show:

Charity Wi******er Radio volunteers, Val Moore and Jeremy Goldthorpe, were two of the worthy recipients receiving a Community Award at ******er on Thursday night! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ These two lovely kind souls have been volunteering with Wi******er Radio for many years, out and about each week around the wards of the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, spreading cheer, visiting patients and collecting their music requests. πŸŽ΅πŸ“»πŸ₯° They also help with community engagement when we are out visiting other groups around Wi******er.

Thanks to the Mayor of Wi******er, Cllr Sudhakar Achwal for hosting these awards to recognise the efforts of those in our community who go above and beyond to make a positive difference to the lives of others. Val and Jeremy are beautiful people inside and out, and we are so pleased they have received recognition for all they do.πŸ™β€οΈ
