Zimbabwe's Bonne leaves English non-league side Maldon & Tiptree

Striker Macauley Bonne has left non-league Maldon & Tiptree just days after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Bonne played for Zimbabwe in all three group games at Afcon in Morocco, including a start against Angola.

He joined Maldon & Tiptree in October, dropping three levels in the English pyramid after playing in the National League for Southend last season.

The 30-year-old scored three goals in nine appearances for The Jammers, who are two points clear at the top of the Isthmian League North Division table.

Former Colchester and Barnet winger Courtney Senior has also left the club, who reached the first round of the FA Cup before losing to Port Vale in November.

“His scrummaging has really come to the fore” — Bristol Bears boss laments injury
to Zimbabwean star Lovejoy Chawatama

Bristol Bears head coach Pat Lam says Zimbabwean tighthead prop Lovejoy Chawatama was “going really well” before injury struck, praising his scrummaging, fitness and growing understanding of the team’s game after he was ruled out of this weekend’s Investec Champions Cup clash against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.

Chawatama has been sidelined by a calf injury sustained during last weekend’s 19–17 English Premiership victory over Sale Sharks, a setback Lam described as significant given the forward’s importance to the squad this season.

The 33-year-old Zimbabwe international has been a key figure for Bristol, featuring in all 15 matches across competitions and starting the club’s last four games, underlining his value in the front row.

Speaking ahead of the Champions Cup encounter, Lam did not hide his frustration at losing one of his most consistent performers.

Few players appreciate the life-changing potential of LIV Golf Promotions quite like Kieran Vincent.

Three years on from emerging as one of the inaugural success stories of the event, the Zimbabwean enters this year’s edition at Black Diamond Ranch Golf & Country Club knowing firsthand that one exceptional week can change everything.

Vincent was among the first players to experience the full impact of LIV Golf Promotions in 2023, when a tied-second finish secured him one of three coveted LIV Golf League cards. That breakthrough launched him onto the global stage, earning a place on the Legion XIII team and opening the next chapter of his career.

Now 28, Vincent arrives in Florida this week carrying a sharper, more battle-tested edge. Following relegation from the LIV Golf League, his 2025 campaign on The International Series, the Asian Tour’s set of elevated events, became both a proving ground and a reset. It was a season defined by resilience, perspective, and one navigated alongside his brother amid one of the most fiercely contested Rankings races in Series history.

Celtic Urged to Sign Zimbabwean Forward Tawanda Maswanhise in January
Celtic have been urged to make a January move for in-form Zimbabwean forward Tawanda Maswanhise as the Scottish champions look to revive their Premiership title challenge.

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton believes the Motherwell attacker would immediately improve the Hoops’ attacking options, with the club currently short of goals and trailing league leaders Hearts in the title race.

Maswanhise is currently the leading goalscorer in the Scottish Premiership and continues to enhance his reputation both at club and international level.

The 21-year-old is also fresh from an impressive performance for Zimbabwe against South Africa at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where he caught the eye with his work rate and attacking threat.

🇿🇼 History in the making! 🏏

Zimbabwe cricket legend Brendan Taylor is set to return to the global stage after being named in the national squad for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Taylor becomes the only player from the inaugural 2007 T20 World Cup to feature at the tournament nearly two decades later — a remarkable full-circle moment in world cricket.

Fans will remember his iconic 60 against Australia in Cape Town*, an innings that powered Zimbabwe to a famous five-wicket victory and remains one of the nation’s greatest T20 moments.

Nearly 20 years on, the veteran stands tall once again.

A legacy continued. 👏🔥

Raza runs riot as Paarl Royals skittle MI Cape Town for 88

Zimbabwe T20 captain Sikandar Raza continued his scintillating form with the ball, producing a brilliant spell of 4 for 13 as Paarl Royals bowled out MI Cape Town for just 88 in their SA20 clash at Newlands in Cape Town on Sunday.

The Zimbabwean all-rounder was unplayable, applying relentless pressure through the middle overs to dismantle MI Cape Town’s batting lineup and put the Royals firmly in control of the contest.

Raza’s latest display follows another match-winning performance earlier in the week, when he claimed 3 for 23 to inspire Paarl Royals to victory over the same opponents at Boland Park on Friday.

His back-to-back impact performances underline his growing influence in the tournament and his outstanding form with the ball.

Chirewa on bench as Munetsi misses out again for Wolves

Warriors forward Tawanda Chirewa has been named on the bench for Wolves as they host West Ham in search of their first English Premier League win of the season.

There is once again no place in the matchday squad for Marshall Munetsi, with the Zimbabwe vice-captain strongly linked with a January move to France.

Nice, FC Paris and Nantes are among several Ligue 1 clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.
