Our annual Memorial Tree Service of Remembrance takes place on Friday 28th November at the Municipal Buildings. Personalised baubles to place on the tree in memory of your loved ones can be purchased from SHoRes before the 26th November. Officers are appealing for information after we were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Holderness Road in Hull at around 7.45am this morning (Thursday, 13 November 2025).

It is reported a silver Mercedes E220 convertible, and a pedestrian were in collision near to the pedestrian crossing between Bilton roundabout and Diadem roundabout.

Emergency services attended, and the pedestrian, a 12-year-old girl, has been taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries which are not thought to be life threatening at this time.

A 26-year-old woman has since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in police custody assisting with ongoing enquiries at this time.

The road has since been reopened, and enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances around the collision.

We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, has any dashcam or CCTV from around the time it is believed to have occurred, to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 56 of 13 November.
