Two days. One global title. Vivid worked alongside 180Studios to support the Chess.com team with this truly hybrid event. We helped create and deliver the complete event and broadcast facilities for the World Speed Chess Championships 2025 Live Finals in London, ensuring that the experience in the room was as dynamic and engaging as it was online.

Vivid Broadcast delivered end-to-end event creative, production and broadcast, providing custom player desks, stage set, lighting and LED design, with our friends at IMAG providing the LED and control package. All working within tight deadlines and budgets.

For the online experience, we provided a ceiling slung Agito, Sony FR7’s integrated into each desk, steadicam and peds. Presenters were based in 180Studios XR LED stage and filmed with Arri cameras.

The system was built around a large gallery with our powerful PPU5 with an Ultrix FR5 at its core and seamlessly integrating with NDI video delivering fully redundant IP transmission paths including 20x cloud distributed streams. EVS Vias provided highlights and VT playback. Audio was run from our Calrec Argo-m 48 fader desk along with full RTS comms and Wisycom audio solution.

Our flypacks offer best in class, highly flexible, scalable production solutions.

What a way to end the Women’s Super League season. On Saturday we delivered a final day of facilities to Sky Sports, which was one of our busiest across a single project - with all 6 of our OB units spread across the matches. This included:

14 Camera Remote into Sky’s gallery, from our new truck Barra at West Ham
10 Camera Traditional in Jura from Chelsea
Two 4 camera traditional matches
Two 4 camera remote vans back to our RPC
Over 150 directly engaged crew

It's been a fantastic season, and we’re super proud to have supported Sky's production team with facilities to serve their production.

Massive thanks to Sky for putting their trust and confidence in us, and to the clubs, players and fans who made the season so special. And of course thanks to every team member - whether freelance or staff, on the field or supporting the operation in the office - we couldn't do it without you.

The future is now.

Big thanks to Jenny Priestley from TVBEurope for popping in for an afternoon to see what’s going on at Vivid. It was a pleasure showing her around our remote facility on one of our busy Sundays working across WSL.

Shout out to the brilliant women across our industry for International Women’s Day 2026.

From first rig to final cut, it’s often women making our broadcasts happen - calmly, skilfully, and under pressure - every day. We see it through pre-production, on site, in trucks and galleries, and in the talented staff and freelance Vivid teams we bring together, keeping shows moving when the clock is unforgiving.

Today’s a good day to say it out loud. Thank you for the craft, the graft, the leadership, and the humour, and for raising the bar for everyone around you.

If you’re coming up in broadcast and wondering if you belong here, you do.

There are storybook settings… and then there’s Windsor Castle.

Last week the historic royal residence became the ultimate stage for imagination as it hosted the Grand Final of BBC’s 500 Words, the UK’s beloved children’s storytelling competition…and Vivid were there capturing every magical moment.

The first challenge was getting through 2 very tight archways - OB Skye was a perfect fit with her ability to fit into small spaces, yet still with the flexibility, redundancy and capacity for a BBC One show. Working closely with our friends at Terry Tew on the sound, we captured pre-recorded content with a 7-camera set-up, from a number of locations across the stunning palace setting.

As part of the celebration, finalists were invited to a special reception hosted by Queen Camilla, championing imagination, creativity and the power of storytelling. There was a delightful appearance from Paddington Bear, who even performed a song from Paddington The Musical, plus a show-stopping performance of A Million Dreams by West End star Marisha Wallace.

Vivid facilitated the broadcast for a special edition of The One Show, to bring every royal, musical and marmalade-filled moment to viewers at home.

The BBC 500 Words Special airs on BBC 1 at 7pm tonight - the perfect reminder that big adventures can start with just 500 words.

Boxing is back on the BBC, and we’re proud to be part of it.

Since November, Vivid has delivered host broadcast facilities for Boxxer, taking prime time fight nights to audiences live on the BBC, marking boxing’s first return to a BBC platform in more than 20 years.

From Derby Arena, to a pre-Christmas Leeds show, to the Copper Box - we’ve covered fight week action, live undercard shows and the main events, managing world feed delivery to international takers, plus BBC and DAZN domestically. At the Copper Box we also trailblazed ARRI cameras from OB4, using Alexa35 Live camera channels and PL lenses for stunning, cinematic coverage.

We’ve seen future British stars shine, including Troy Williamson, Jamie TKV, and Francesca Hennessey.
Next stop: Cardiff, with Lauren Price defending her WBA, WBC, IBF, IBO and Ring Magazine World Welterweight titles against Stephanie Pineiro.

2026 has kicked off at full speed for us at Vivid Broadcast, delivering a wide range of projects across sport, E-sport, entertainment, film and live events. Highlights include our third Boxxer host broadcast, this time covered with ARRI ALEXA 35s for BBC Two and DAZN, ARRI coverage of the Zayed Awards in Abu Dhabi, and The Gathering at ExCeL captured with 8 Sony Burano cameras - three very different productions, all delivering stunning cinematic results.

Back in London, OB Rum covered the Crime 101 premiere and a West End theatre production, while our events team produced the Speed Chess Championships. Round 15 of the Women’s Super League saw back-to-back 8-camera Sky Sports productions and multiple remotes, all wrapped from our RPC - also home to the BBC Women’s Football Show. Huge thanks to our clients, suppliers, freelancers and in-house team, who co-ordinated over 300 crew members to make it all happen - for what turned out to be our busiest weekend of this year so far!

A few weeks ago we were treated to what has been described as “one of the best buzzer beaters in FIBA history” - as Lithuania stole the win right in the dying seconds of this World Cup 2027 Qualifier match from the Copper Box Arena. It was all captured beautifully on camera 1 by one of our very own, Josh Buck.

An epic moment to help you find that Friday feeling on this cold January afternoon!

We’re just over halfway through the 25/26 Women's Super League season and we’ve loved being part of Sky’s coverage.

Most weekends see our OB Skye operating as the main remote truck feeding back into Sky galleries for the flagship Sunday programming, with OB Jura providing additional main match coverage depending on the fixtures. Additionally this season, our new four-camera remote vans feed back into the Remote Production Centre in Woking.

It’s fantastic to see the continual growth of the Women's Super League. A massive thanks to team Sky for having us along for the journey - we love working with you - and a huge thank you to all our staff and freelancers who are such an integral part of the wider operation. We’re back at it in the new year, with Round 12 taking us to the Emirates, the Joie Stadium and Kingsmeadow for another fantastic weekend of action.
