Migrating from my iMac to a new Mac mini and deliberately not using Time Machine!

Instead, I’m piecing everything back together like a giant puzzle because I don’t want seven years of documents, random files and who knows what else clogging up a machine that’s going to be dedicated to music.

I do miss having access to all my studio gear, but for now it’s still in storage. So, it’s a stripped back setup for editing and project work, and a headphones only environment, which gives me the perfect excuse to invest in a really good pair!

In the meantime, I’m getting everything ready for the new studio space when it finally arrives. Finding the right place has been a bit of a marathon, but good things take time… or so they say!

I think this week is going to be all about plugin installations and sample library migrations. My plan is to install the latest versions of everything and bring across my custom settings from the old iMac. I’ll tackle the legacy software as I go.

Patience is apparently a virtue…! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤔

It’s been a while! But I have recently finished an album and have 2 artists produced by me at the studio releasing new music in April. I am also in the process of relocating the studio and hope to be back up and running by the summer!

The Kean Harris Album is currently being mastered by Sara Carter and I’m looking forward to sharing this with you early next year! It’s been a labour of love and 2 years of recording sessions!! Sometimes budgets mean you have to record over time to create something special.
