Let me introduce you to the faces behind the magic of Grey Socials Company.

Because let’s be honest… you see my face way too often 🤣 and there’s so much more to this business than just me.

Shona (me, of course) 👋🏽
Founder, strategist, client liaison and yes, I love a voice note You’ll usually find me at my desk building strategies, in the studio for brand shoots, or out on the road in clients’ workplaces capturing photography and content sessions.

Cyd - Yes, you’ve seen her face before!
As a fellow mum to a toddler, she took a little break but she’s officially back. This time bringing her magic to social media management, acting as the admin backbone of the business, plus wedding content creation. Oh and she’s our TikTok guru, having grown her own platform to 57k+ followers.

Rebecca - Our beauty and aesthetics platform management queen and for very good reason.
Her graphic design skills? Absolutely INCREDIBLE 😮‍💨
Based in Manchester, so content days in the North of England? She’s your girl.

Lauren - Is there anything Lauren can’t do?!
Since joining us in June, she’s been building websites, growing platforms to 500k views in just 30 days, and working behind the scenes on graphics, reel production, and so much more.

And as a team? I honestly can’t explain how proud I am to work with each and every one of these incredible women 🤍

These results didn’t happen by accident.

Yes, 3.8 million views and 4,189 new followers in 30 days is incredible and yes, it was all organic.

But the real reason this growth was possible? Collaboration.

You can absolutely hand over your socials and be as involved (or uninvolved) as you want.

But the strongest results come when both sides work TOGETHER!

When the business owners share their insight, personality and business knowledge. We then bring the strategy, creativity and direction. That’s when the magic really happens! Because social media is just part one of the sales funnel, if all parts are aligned the conversions are far greater!

So yes, this wasn’t just our work.
It was a partnership.

Now, this is a completely different post from me on here, but it would be rude not to share, because how absolutely BEAUTIFUL are these?!

Having thrown myself into furthering my photography, and after shooting weddings from a content creation angle, it was finally time to get the camera out for this occasion!

I had the chance to work with some incredible suppliers for a collaborative shoot at our studio, and I couldn’t be happier with the imagery we created.

For existing brands wanting to branch into the wedding world, building a portfolio isn’t always easy, but with a shoot like this?

Everything just came together. We now all have content and photographs to use, and honestly, there’s nothing more powerful than businesses supporting businesses. 👏🏽

Do you ever finish a month and think, “Where did that month even go”? That was November! 🤣

I have always been the social media manager who bangs on about practicing what you preach, you should be showing up as a social media manager daily. Did I stick to that rule in November? Absolutely not! All for good reasons! Toddlers and nursery mean a household of illness for the whole month!

BUT, we did get up to A LOT! So here we go!

I had a haircut and a big chop, because it was very much needed! But then, we returned back to the salon to create content for their brand new networking event which was AMAZING!

We left October with a very sad looking pampas Christmas tree, but we came into November with a big, beautiful, fluffy one! Huge thanks to for helping with it!

We had brand shoots at Cloud Grey Studio, multiple content shoots, and we started Christmas mini shoots! 🥹 I even headed back to my office (I was an estate agent prior to Grey Socials) for a promo shoot to help with recruitment!

I allowed my face to be used as a human pinboard for & and the next minute I’m using my lips for UGC content creation. Who even am I? 🤣

We had HUGE client wins with two clients hitting over 3 million views in a month, one client gaining 3,900 followers (tipping them into 11,000 followers!), another securing an income month of £22,000 before the month even began, and another launching a campaign that got 110,000 views in one week from organic reach! 🙌🏼

And despite the household illnesses, we still got to take the boss, aka Greyson, to Windsor Illuminated. And yes, the Christmas tree in our house made its way up, and I compromised on one decoration… the dinosaur. 🙃

So what a whirlwind of a November. Do I know how I survived it? Absolutely not. But December? We’ve got more brand shoots, more content days, two new management clients, and more BIG client wins coming our way!

Most business owners think increasing their income means posting more, working harder, or running cheaper offers…
but this client’s story shows what actually works.

They came to us with £12,000 already booked for December and said “Let’s hit £22,000.” And yes, we made it happen. 👏🏽

We secured them 3 high paying Black Friday clients, 5 additional packages between £450–£1,000, and 3 new monthly membership clients. 🙌🏼

That’s how you enter the month with £22k already locked in.

Don’t hide away from running offers, especially on the biggest sales day of the year! It’s about selling PREMIUM packages that attract PREMIUM clients, not discounting your value.

And it’s about using social media to sell, not just posting random content with no strategy. You should be selling in stories, gaining exposure through Facebook groups and actually creating urgency.

Social media strategies work… when they’re done right.
Because if you can guarantee a client will use you once they meet you, then your social media needs to be enticing people to book that initial appointment. 👀

Right… because everything else magically does itself? 👀

Let me give you my two pence worth, buckle up!

Yes, we post. But before anything ever hits the feed, there’s:

Traveling to clients to capture content. Because posts don’t exist without footage or photos.

Researching trends, learning the audience, understanding the industry. You know your business, but we have to know it AND your competitors AND your consumers.

Choosing the right audio, the hook and strategy. If it’s not strategic, it won’t perform.

Editing photos, cutting reels, designing branded graphics.
Content doesn’t magically appear branded, aligned and professional.

Writing captions (no, AI won’t do it for you). AI can help, but it’s useless without your voice, tone, message, and strategy, which WE learn and build.

So no… we don’t “just post.”

Social media management takes time, energy, skill and strategy. It’s not random posting. It’s marketing.

We’re the people who build your brand online, launch your campaigns, and help grow your business.

So, aren’t we worth more than “just posting” 👀

A photographer booked me for a brand shoot… LIKE WHAT 😧

Did I die inside as a newer photographer? Absolutely. But I didn’t just shoot one brand session… I got booked for TWO!

Brand shoots are so important, and it’s especially hard for those of us behind the camera to keep our own branding up to date.

Having professional photographs done can make such a difference. They can last for months, keep your branding consistent, and position you as a professional in your industry.

We achieved goals, reached new heights, booked out diaries, and so much more from the ‘little thing we do’, posting on social media!

Every client has a different reason for hiring a social media team from giving themselves back time, reaching new audiences, attracting clients or growing their business.
