A quick coffee before work.

Friends catching up after months apart.

Someone working quietly in the corner.

A first date. A difficult conversation. Or simply half an hour to yourself.

We rarely think about the places where these little moments happen. But over the years, the same tables quietly become part of thousands of people’s lives.

There’s actually a name for places like this: the “third place” — somewhere that isn’t home or work, but somewhere in between where we meet, talk, pause and simply spend time together.

Maybe that’s why a good café means more to a town than the coffee it serves.

It gives everyday life somewhere to happen. ❤️

𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻. 🍺🎶

The Family Fun Day showed us what can happen when people, music, food and a lot of hard work come together in one place.
From a quiet morning to a packed Peach Place, it became a day full of families, friends, laughter and memories.

And more than 30,000 of you watched those moments with us. ❤️

But days like that don’t just happen.

Behind the scenes, Kimberley and the Wokingham Saviour team put in the time, effort and resources to create something the whole community could enjoy.
Now, they’re getting ready to bring Peach Place to life again.

You can often tell a new season has arrived in Wokingham just by looking at the shop windows.
Giftology has gone autumnal — with plenty of Halloween surprises hiding inside. 🎃
It’s one of those small changes around town that you might walk past without thinking about.
But together, these little details are what make the High Street feel alive and connected to the season.

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗟𝗬 𝗜𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗟𝗘𝗧?
FROM THE FIRST COFFEE☕ TO THE LAST GLASS OF W**E. 🍷

When I first moved to Wokingham, Hamlet was actually the first restaurant I visited.

At the time, I barely knew the town. Now, it’s one of those places that feels very much part of Wokingham life.

But Hamlet is quite hard to put in a box.

Breakfast in the morning.
Lunch in the afternoon.
Tea and coffee in between.

And when Friday and Saturday come around, the day doesn’t end there — Hamlet carries on into the evening with dinner and drinks.

From what I can remember, there aren’t many places in town that take you through the whole day quite like this.

Recently, Hamlet was named among Wokingham’s top restaurants by Wokingham.Today.

But rankings only tell part of the story.

NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY

I’ve shared quite a few posts about different places in Wokingham over the past few months.

One thing has always stood out—the number of positive comments about Peach Place. So many people have spoken warmly about the atmosphere, the restaurants, and the memories they’ve made there.

After spending a whole day there a couple of weeks ago, I finally understood why.

In the morning, Peach Place was quiet, peaceful and full of charm. It was the kind of place where you could slow down, enjoy a coffee and simply watch the town wake up.

By the afternoon, everything had changed.

Music filled the air. Families arrived. Friends gathered over food and drinks. Children ran around laughing. As evening fell, Peach Place had become the heart of the community.

That’s when it all made sense.

The magic of Peach Place isn’t just the restaurants or the open space. It’s the people. It’s a place where you can enjoy a quiet moment one minute, then find yourself surrounded by music, laughter and community the next.

A heartfelt thank you to Kimberley Fishlock and everyone at Wokingham Saviour for bringing this wonderful Family Fun Day to Wokingham.

Thank you to Theswinggitan for the wonderful Gypsy jazz, and to Bombay Story Indian Kitchen, Grilko, Hamlet Wokingham, Knead Neapolitan Pizza, and Hawkstone for helping create such a fantastic atmosphere.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so special.

Now I understand why so many people have such fond memories of Peach Place.
