Our October issue of Fancy Fowl Magazine has been dropping through doors, and this month features a handsome Toulouse gander bred by Simon James on the front cover, with some classicly Cornish scenery behind him.

While never one to crow, Simon is a hugely knowledgeable poultry keeper and an expert breeder of exhibition ducks, chickens, geese and turkeys. We’re delighted to feature him in this month’s ‘At Home with’ interview!

🚨 Calling all breeders of white feathered breeds, past and present! 🚨

We’ve had some wonderful feedback on these ‘Your Tips’ features, and it’s been great to spread our joint knowledge around.

This month we’re looking for your top tips on how to get the best white plumage in your birds, and how to then keep them that way for show season!

Everything from how you house your birds, to keeping them fit and trying to avoid feather discolouration through feeding or their environment. All and any advice very welcome for a piece we’re pulling together for a future issue of Fancy Fowl Magazine.

At Fancy Fowl Magazine we know how much work goes into producing photos of this standard, and are so grateful to photographers across the UK and around the world for their dedication - and patience!
