Our March issue of Fancy Fowl Magazine goes to print on Monday, and we’re aware some club’s are arranging Open Day’s for both their members as well as others who would like to join them - which is great!

We’re delighted to feature James Boon on the front cover of our first issue of 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣.

As many of you know, James won Overall Champion at The Poultry Club’s National Egg Show at Lincolnshire Showground, held in place of our usual National Poultry & Egg Show.

It was, as you can imagine, a hugely emotional win for James, particularly as he followed in the footsteps of his grandparents who had won Champion Egg Exhibit at the National Show twice previously.

As well as being featured on our cover, it was brilliant to find some time to hear more from James on his big win, what he thinks about egg showing and his hopes for the year ahead!

In 2025 the 30th EE European Animal Show was held in Nitra, Slovakia with Fleur Capelle and John Messenger visiting from the UK and reporting back in our December issue.
