🐴 Ever heard of the Suffolk Punch?

It’s the oldest breed of working horse in the UK — and at The Suffolk Punch Trust in Hollesley, your kids can meet these gentle giants face-to-face. There’s a play area, trails to explore, and lots of farm animals to say hello to too.

It’s wholesome, hands-on, and full of fresh air — just how a family day out should be. 🌾💛

Suffolk. Home of haunted Wellingtons, a ferry that’s just a rowing boat, and the only museum in Britain where you can literally book an appointment to see a severed head.

Yep, this county is weird, wonderful, and way more fun than your toddler’s 32nd soft play party.

Want to know where to find the dragon-hunting forests, Viking re-enactments, edible museums, and the exact hill where your kids can roll until they’re dizzy?

We wrote the book. Literally.

237 days out, zero eye-rolls.

Link in bio. Go find the magic before they turn into teenagers.

Happy National Tea Day!

Parents – if you’re chasing little legs around Suffolk today, make sure you find a moment to sit down with a proper brew.

Try at Felixstowe – where you can sip your tea while the kids watch giant ships roll into one of Europe’s busiest ports. It’s the rare combo of peaceful tea-drinking and thrilling entertainment for the little ones .

Or visit in Constable Country – the little ones can roam riverside paths and spot wildlife while you enjoy a cuppa in the tearoom of one of Suffolk’s most picturesque spots .

From coastlines to cafés, Suffolk has plenty of places where tea and toddlers can happily coexist.

Discover more family-friendly tea-worthy spots in “237 Ideas for Stuff to Do and Places to Go in Suffolk with Kids.”

Sunshine + no traffic = the perfect family ride.

This weekend, ditch the roads and ride the old Sudbury to Melford railway line. It’s flat, peaceful and traffic-free - ideal for little legs still mastering two wheels.

Glide past grazing cows, cross little bridges, and stop for a riverside picnic. Bonus? The route ends near a family-friendly taproom with outdoor games and ice-cold local brews.

Sun’s out. Helmets on.

🎉📚 Support an indie bookshop this World Book Day

The anxiety-induced scrabbling for costumes for the kids to wear to school aside, World Book Day is a great idea. Catering for all ages, from toddler to teen, the campaign is designed to get little ones reading. Rather brilliantly, a number of books are made available for just a quid. So a trip to your local indie bookshop is just the ticket to celebrate this weekend.
