A historic Georgian mansion where Sir Winston Churchill is said to have held secret wartime meetings has just gone on the market for £3.75 million. 🏡
Winterdyne House sits high above the River Severn near Bewdley.
The Grade II-listed property dates all the way back to 1760 and comes with around 30 acres of land.
But the most incredible feature isn't the indoor swimming pool or the cinema room 🍿
Local accounts suggest Sir Winston Churchill actually visited the estate to hold discussions on the war effort.
It served as a base for officers working alongside Free French forces during the Second World War.
General Charles de Gaulle is even believed to have stayed there.
The grounds also feature a former fort that was once used to keep watch for smugglers along the river 🌊
And the views from the estate stretch straight across to the neighbouring West Midlands Safari Park.
It means you can often see tigers, lions and elephants directly from the grounds 🐅
The property was later used as a care home before eventually returning to private ownership.
