It’s been an absolute whirlwind here lately! We’ve been bouncing between high-stakes corporate conferences, multi-cam live streams, sweaty (but awesome) live music gigs, and crafting promotional content.

COMING THIS JULY TO NXTOD!

We have a host of new brass band content coming this July, including live streams from Red Admiral's Hymn & March Contest & Bandamonium, Devon, along with audio recordings from Elland Silver Band's Summer Spectacular Concert.

Red Admiral Hymn & March Contest - Sunday 5th July
You'll be able to enjoy each of the 14 competing bands both LIVE and ON DEMAND from 11.00am on 5th July. Each band will perform a road march, hymn tune and contest march in the beautiful setting of Croston in Lancashire.

Bandamonium, Devon - Saturday 25th July
The ambitious live stream broadcast schedule will cover 30 brass bands performing across two locations. Streaming will begin at 11.00am and continue throughout the day, culminating in a spectacular massed band event in the evening. The live stream will be provided completely free of charge to all viewers thanks to generous funding from Arts Council England.

Elland Silver Band - Summer Spectacular Concert
All of this and we will be making audio recordings of the performances from the Elland Silver Band Summer Spectacular Concert featuring all bands as part of the organisation along with special guests from local outreach partner primary schools.

Next Step Films are super proud! - a few weeks ago the team worked with Miranda Hart capturing social content for Pure Pet Food. Thank you to Jess for stepping in to DoP the shoot while in-house was on holiday! And a super big thank you to our director Adam Marsden for Directing and Editing everything!

Another phenomenal day working with and our first time working with a new member of the team on new content for their legal services. 🎥

Yesterday was certainly action packed for myself and Dan Mears DoP - we cracked out the autocue for some P2C’s in the morning - and spent the afternoon crafting cutaway sequences! - we even brought the sun with us! ☀️

We can’t wait to get started on post-production! 🖥️ ✂️

Filming days like this remind me why I love what we do 🎬 - Dan Mears DoP

A commercial shoot with some proper technical puzzles — filming on public transport, capturing people in motion, and keeping everything slick with a streamlined crew.

Moving fast meant we could turn scenes around quickly, stay flexible, and make creative tweaks on the fly. Add the old classic ‘February-in-the-UK weather’ ☔️ into the mix and it was all about adapting, problem-solving, and rolling with whatever the day threw at us. Cold hands, warm ideas. 😂

2025 has been an incredible year for Next Step Films!

We are so proud of everything we have achieved throughout 2025, and we will continue help our clients strengthen their brands, businesses and share their stories.

It's been great watching our business grow from strength to strength, having the ability to invest in new technology, people and creating a roadmap for the future of Next Step Films.

Cat’s now officially out the bag - Let’s throwback to August! Lights, Camera and Lipstick!

Next Step Fillms was asked to produce a tour show intro film for none other than Divina De Campo - this was of corse very exciting news and we jumped at the opportunity!

In the space of a day we built a set, the fabulous Dan Mears DoP brought the Hollywood lighting and I had the pleasure of directing drag royalty 🫅
