Scotland's long-awaited consultation on inshore Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) appears to be edging closer.

Marine minister Jim Fairlie says proposals covering more than 160 sites and Priority Marine Features (PMFs) are expected to be published "in the coming weeks", with fishing communities set to receive an extended 16-week consultation period to respond.

Industry representatives have welcomed the opportunity to engage, while raising concerns over the potential impact of restrictions on key fishing grounds.

Hull's beloved "Cutty Sark" has found her new home.

The Arctic Corsair, the UK's only permanently accessible distant-water sidewinder trawler, has completed her final voyage to North End Shipyard, where she will become a centrepiece of Hull's new maritime visitor attraction.

In a touching tribute, the ashes of former trawlerman and dedicated volunteer Peter Burrows were carried aboard during the journey.
