As you will have read if you get the magazine, this issue was sadly the last one. It's been an amazing magazine to work on, and I was lucky to have met some really lovely people though it. I'd like to thank all the contributors who made it what it was, and the subscribers and readers who made it all possible in the first place.

Bath ceramist Bronwyn Williams-Ellis will exhibit in the Chateau L’Etoc Summer Exhibition for a month from July 25 to August 25.

A well-known ceramic artist, she has created a new collection of
two-dimensional, wall-hung ceramic pieces. Her work focuses on line drawing, movement, colour, and texture, using traditional techniques such as wax resist (cuerda seca), drawing slips, and alkali glazes.

These contemporary artworks are designed to enhance the spaces they occupy and reflect the traditions of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures.

Bronwyn's background in drawing and ceramics from Cardiff College of Art, along with her interests in history, landscape, architecture, archaeology, and mythology, deeply influences her work. Her pieces are inspired by ancient history, such as the Mesolithic era footprints found on Welsh coastal mudflats and the petrified forests revealed at extreme low tides along the UK’s western coast much like on the far side of Longis Bay in Alderney. These elements highlight the historical significance of these landscapes and our connection to the past.
