Six apps. All paid. All worth it. 👇

These are the only six apps I use to run my entire working life — and yes, before you ask, they all cost money. Here’s the lineup:

🗒️ Craft — personal knowledge management

✅ Things 3 — task manager

📅 Fantastical 2 — calendar

🧠 Recall — save and resurface anything

📩 Spark Mail — email

🤖 Claude AI — LLM

I’ve tested hundreds of productivity tools and apps to destruction. This is what survived.

Aside from ‘where did you get that hat?’ a common question I get asked is what tools and apps I ACTUALLY use every day. And I always give a vague answer, partly because I’d never sat down and made this video, because the honest answer is…not that much.

Six apps, a handful of devices. And one unpopular opinion about iPhones.

Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned after testing out apps for a living, the answer is almost never another app. At some point you have to stop adding things and start removing them, and that’s often when a setup comes together.

My latest video is all the stuff that survived the edit. The hardware and software I keep coming back to every single day. Nothing aspirational, nothing in there because it looks good in a thumbnail, just my actual setup.

Link in bio to watch 👆🏻and let me know your ride or die apps in the comments. Curious to know whether you’ve gone minimal or if you’re still deep in the “one more app might fix it” era. No judgement, I’ve been there!

⌨️ That sound you just heard?

Three keyboards. One series.

The .studio Air V3 lineup now comes in 65%, 75%, and 100% — and each one is built for a completely different kind of person.

Compact traveller, hybrid worker, or spreadsheet warrior: there’s one here with your name on it.

My full comparison video is on my YouTube channel now.

I refined my EDC bag for months, and this is what survived the cut.

Some old faces, a lot of new ones — and a few things I didn’t expect to become completely dependent on.

The camera is the newest addition and I’m still figuring out what I can get away with doing with it in public (no giggling at the back). The gaming controller obviously needs no justification. And there’s one tiny device in here that’s quickly become the most useful thing I own.

Full breakdown is on YouTube — link in bio. Discount codes for everything are over there too.

What am I missing from my setup? Let me know 👇

The MacBook Neo is out today!

It’s Apple’s first new laptop design in years, and it’s got everyone talking. Here’s my take on what I’ve seen so far. My own review is coming soon.

Full video (including tons of other utterly mad takes I found) over on my YouTube channel - link in bio.

Do me a favour. Don’t buy a reMarkable until you’ve watched this.

I spent a month with both of their latest tablets to see if they’re worth the outrageous price tag.

Spoiler- they’re not for everyone.

No distractions, no notifications, just you and your thoughts. But is that a feature, and is it enough to justify the cost when you can easily grab an iPad which can do 100x more. Here’s some of my thoughts.

The full comparison is over on my YouTube channel if you want a deeper look at costs, features and the differences between the two devices.

POV: you’ve been “refining your EDC bag” for months and somehow ended up with a 3L bag containing 11 items. 🎒🧡

📱 iPhone 17 Pro — finally went regular Pro after years of the Max and my little finger literally has fewer deformities now. That’s a win.
🧳 The bag itself is from Orbitkey and it has RFID blocking, waterproof zips, and little carabiners that double as zipper locks when you’re travelling.
📦 iPad Mini + folding keyboard + gaming controller. Yes, I can write a contract AND play Red Dead Redemption from the same tiny bag. Balance.
🔋 Power bank with a breathing light strip and active cooling. I don’t know what I did to deserve this but I’m not questioning it.
🎧 AirPods Pro Gen 3. Heart rate monitoring. I finally found out I have one.
📸 DJI Osmo 360 on an Insta360 pole. Yes I know. No I don’t care. It fits.

I tried to replace my iPhone with an iPad Mini for a week.

The results were pretty surprising!

Anyone else switched-over to digital notetaking this year? I’ve been testing out the palm-sized Paper Pro Move against the latest iPad Mini to see which is best as a digital notepad.

A big thanks to for letting me redesign her absolute bonfire of a workspace and turn it into something a little more useful.
