Since 2019, Forge Zine has returned at every equinox and solstice, publishing in step with the seasons rather than the calendar.

The winter solstice marks the longest night of the year: a turning point where light begins, slowly, to return. It is a moment for pause, reflection, and patience, before the next cycle begins.

Our Winter Edition was meant to arrive today.
Due to an unexpected print delay, it will be with you a little later than planned. Thank you for holding this space with us. We’ll share updates very soon.

Migration isn’t just a journey. It’s a story. It’s a transformation.

We often frame migration as a line on a map. But it’s a force that reshapes landscapes, hearts, and memories. From the airport terminal to the flock in the sky to the seed in the soil, migration is happening all around and within us. For our Winter Edition, we want to see your unique interpretation.
 Is it the geese flying south, or the quiet ache of a new city? Is it tracing the roads your ancestors walked, or feeling your own identity shift?  Is it the silent journey of data, or a seed cracking open to find new ground?

Today felt like a quiet milestone. One year after finishing my degree, I finally walked across that stage along with so many creatives from the Forge community. Grateful for every story, every idea, every person that has shaped this chapter. ✨
