I Was Busy Building My Life🇬🇧. But Forgot to Live It 💔
Everyone says, “Your 20s are the best years of your life.”
But mine… felt like a constant race.
1.5-hour bus journeys as a day scholar to uni,
choosing savings over hostel memories.
Not a topper—but I tried until it hurt.
From Thiruvallur to Salem, chasing dreams bigger than my comfort zone… and losing touch with the friends I once held close.
Caught between IRCTC bookings, unreserved tickets, RAC journeys, waiting list and pretending not to be home sick.
Two years chasing one goal—HCPC, NHS, UK✈️🇬🇧 a better future.
Endless paperwork, IELTS, interviews preparation … and Plan Bs
I saved money for my dreams…
while quietly putting my happiness on hold.
I Don’t Remember the Last Time I Celebrated Diwali… 🪔💔
I even worked a long shift in the UK
on the day my best friend got married.
Smiled at patients… while my heart felt somewhere else.
Why can I make big life decisions…
but struggle to choose a dress, a color, or even a favorite song?
Why don’t I enjoy movies anymore?
Why does reading one page feel so heavy now?
Why do I hardly laugh?
Did I lose my 20s… or lose myself?
Maybe I wasn’t living… I was surviving.
But maybe… just maybe…
I can still find my way back to me. ✨
To everyone chasing their dreams, waiting for that life-changing abroad opportunity, or feeling lost in the process…
You’re not alone, and it’s never too late to find yourself again. ❤️
