"After a cancelled E3 conference, Sony’s intended PS5 reveal had to transition to an entirely virtual presentation. Sony took a Nintendo Direct-inspired approach to their hour-long event, compiling game trailers with teasers of the new console, before displaying the PS5 in its full glory at the end."

"A hetero-chromatic grey cat is currently being sold on eBay for $600. However, this cat doesn’t exist. Raymond is a virtual villager on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and you can pay real money to move his office onto your island. If you aren’t willing to sacrifice your student loan for Raymond’s snobbish presence, then an in-game transaction is another possibility: a fan-made trading website, Nookazon, prices Raymond at up to 800 Nook Mile Tickets, worth millions of bells, Animal Crossing’s in-game currency. Lacking bells? Use turnip.exchange to find a high turnip exchange rate on another player’s island. With dedicated websites, servers and hashtags, how has the interconnected digital age inflated a fictional economy?"

"As the race to confirm who will be on the Democratic ticket later this year heats up, various political commentators have begun likening the current frontrunner, Bernie Sanders, to the incumbent Republican President, Donald Drumpf. This comparison usually stems from their status as ‘establishment outsiders.’ However, in reality, there is another candidate still remaining in the Democratic field who could be much more accurately described as the Democratic version of Donald Drumpf."

"Parasite comes as one of the most hotly anticipated films of the year. It has collected vast critical acclaim, winning big at all the major award shows, including The Bafta’s, the Golden Globes and The Oscars. But is it deserving of this praise? yes, yes and YES."

"Armando Iannucci launched back into cinemas last month with his latest feature, The Personal History of David Copperfield (PHDC). Best known for his political satire with shows such as Veep and The Thick of It and his previous feature The Death of Stalin, to say that I was looking forward to his latest offering would be a huge understatement. Yet, despite being such a huge fan of Iannucci, PHDC just doesn’t manage to hold up with the hilarity of his previous works."
