TEACHERS DANCE WORKSHOP CULMINATES

The division of culture within the Ministry of Tourism and the Creative Economy last Friday hosted a ceremony marking the culmination of a week-long dance workshop for teachers.
The week-long event was held at the Kuumba Creative Studio on H.A. Blaize Street from July 14th to the 18th.

OPPOSTION LEADER CALLS FOR MORE ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES

Opposition leader Emmaline Pierre says, despite the IMF report of Grenada's positive economic outlook and a projected growth of 3.9% in 2025, there are consistent concerns about the financial wellbeing of ordinary citizens.
Pierre is therefore calling on the administration to create more initiatives that will increase employment and boost financial spin-off.

GOVT DELEGATION VISIT CLOZIER ROAD PROJECT

Government officials met with Clozier residents on the weekend to address growing concerns surrounding the collapsed roadway in the area.
Prime minister Hon. Dickon Mitchell who led the delegation, appealed to the Clozier community to be cooperative and patient during the process.

FIRE IN DARBEAU

Fire fighters were called to attend to yet another fire in St George for the month of July, this time it was in the Darbeau area, where A three-bedroom wooden house was totally destroyed by Fire on Monday evening.
It was the third house fire recorded in just three weeks.
According to the Grenada Red Cross and Nadma, their ORGANISATION stand committed to PROVIDING AID FOR fire victims.

DECEASED GUNSHOT VICTIM FAMILY SPEAKS

The Golf Course community is mourning the death of Matthew “Old Sadis” Thomas, a music enthusiast who died on Monday after sustaining gunshot wounds during a shootout in the early hours of Sunday July 20th on Wall Street in the Grand Anse area.
Thomas’s Family and friends described him as a jovial person, while expressing sadness over his passing.
