Week in Luxembourg within European Creators' Lab - Immersive Residency. Saw a Pope, pitched Frustrain, got some great new connections and saw, that what we are doing is quite worthy.
Financing it still a huge challenge, but at least we know where we are standing!

Happy to be in Luxembourg to present Frustrain by Pavel Pavlyukov within European Creators' Lab Immersive Residence.
After winning Best pitch for VR project at Annecy Festival international du film d'animation d'Annecy / MIFA Pitches, we’ve working on packing the experience for further development and now it is the best time to show the progress and work on shaping it within the XR community!

Being an Estonian-Kazakhstan co-production, the project has already get some attention, but we know it is going to be a hit ona verge of Vr storytelling and thriller-style gaming!

FRUSTRAIN, нарративный VR проект Павла Павлюкова, отобран в MIFA Pitches в рамках Festival international du film d'animation d'Annecy. В нашей категории Digital Experiences представлено всего 7 проектов со всего мира, и отбор на такой питчинг на этапе прототипа и разработки - это огромный аванс доверия и признания.

Когда в 2021-м году Жан-Мишель Жарр решил сделать свой новый проект OXYMORE в формате виртуального мира по мотивам музыки Пьера Анри и эстетики эпохи ранней электронной музыки, я предложил ему поработать с Pavel Pavlyukov и Dmitry Vorobyov, которые очень удачно засветились в медиа со своим проектом Frustrain на этапе раннего прототипирования. Пашин стиль идеально ложился в концепцию ЖМЖ и так появился OXYVILLE, получивший все вот эти наши награды, сотни тысяч посещений в виртуальном мире, признание и уважение, не говоря уже о том, что обложкой альбома ЖМЖ стало изображение, также созданное Пашей.
FRUSTRAIN пришлось отложить, но, после полученного в процессе реализации OXYMORE опыта, появилось понимание, каким эта VR игра должна быть.
С этой обновленной концепций и объединенными усилиями мы и пошли путешествовать по кинорынкам и VR-фондам.

Поэтому нынешний отбор очень многое значит для нас и открывает возможности реализовать проект в со-продюсировании с европейскими и международными компаниями/паблишерами, на что мы очень надеемся.

Two milestones on the same day – 10k visits to our MormoVerse VRChat world (mostly within the last 2 weeks) and 150k visits to OXYMORE Official World by Jean-Michel Jarre (around 110k - from the beginning of December, even though the world is up from October 2022)!
Great to see how two of these projects, so different in style, scale, target audience, and genre, represent my vision of how entertainment could be in hybrid formats!
There is quite a difference in numbers though, when the world is spotlighted for mobile platforms (bigger visits) and when it is cross-platform – I guess due to the nature of the way users are getting information (mobile worlds come first in the list).
I'm pretty sure Kitten Mormitten would reach the audience, as we can already see the majority of users visiting the world from the US, Japan, Korea, the UK, Canada, and Taiwan (I wrote about the way I learned it in a post before).
So now we are testing RASK AI service to create AI narration of animation episodes used in the world, there would be quite a nice case study about it in the end.
Anyway, feel inspired by those two milestones, as for me they are equally valuable in our path of independent creators!

Wonder how თბილისის VR დღეები / Tbilisi VR Days looked and felt?
Here is a video about the 3 days full of exploration of French and Georgian creative VR experiences and films!
With over 400 visitors and 250 hours of watched content, Tbilisi VR Days set a new trend in Georgia. We will return next year with new immersive and interactive projects! Stay tuned!

It is November again and "Novembre Numerique" by Institut Français de Géorgie is bringing back VR to Georgia.
We are happy to organise VR showcase of Best French animated VR projects at Tofuzi • თოფუზი Animation Festival again with a small, but highly awarded program.
GOLIATH VR (Venice Immersive Winner!), Gloomy Eyes (SXSW), THE DAWN OF ART, BIOLUM and exlcusing preview of Georgy Molodtsov's "MormoVerse" Raindance Nominated project – all under one roof!
