For the Tbilisi concert on September 20, Kamaal Williams invites David Gogisvanidze – one of the respected and talented bassists in Georgia – to join his trio on stage at Arteria Jazz Club.

🥁Yoann Danier
Born in Paris, France, with roots in Martinique, Yoann Danier is a drummer whose playing is as explosive as it is soulful. Growing up, he was surrounded by Caribbean rhythms, French chanson, jazz, and funk — influences that shaped his unique groove and musical identity.
Yoann’s style is a fusion of technical mastery and raw energy. He can switch seamlessly from delicate, intricate brushwork to powerful, driving beats that shake the room. His rhythmic vocabulary draws on jazz, Caribbean traditional music, funk, and modern improvisation.
Over his career, Yoann has worked with acclaimed artists across the jazz and world music scenes, touring internationally and performing at major festivals and venues in Europe, the Americas, and the Caribbean. On stage, he’s known for his deep connection with the band — listening, responding, and pushing the music forward with every hit.
On September 20, Yoann brings his dynamic drumming to Arteria Jazz Club, joining Kamaal Williams and Jowee Omicil for an unforgettable night of rhythm, groove, and world-class musicianship.

🎷 Jowee Omicil
Born in Montreal, Canada, to Haitian parents, Jowee Omicil is a saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer whose music defies boundaries.
Jowee’s style blends the rhythms of his Caribbean roots with the sophistication of modern jazz, the groove of funk, and the freedom of improvisation. He plays not only the saxophone but also clarinet, flute, and other wind instruments — always adding his own vibrant personality to the stage.
Over the years, Jowee has performed with legends like André 3000, Tony Allen , Branford Marsalis, Richard Bona, Kenny Garrett, Marcus Miller, Pharoah Sanders, Wyclef Jean, Lionel Loueke, Stevie Wonder. His international career has taken him from New York’s jazz clubs to European concert halls, and his live shows are known for their warmth, energy, and ability to connect deeply with the audience.
In addition to his solo projects, Jowee has been a frequent collaborator in groundbreaking ensembles, pushing the boundaries of jazz into new cultural and sonic territories.
On September 20, Jowee joins Kamaal Williams and drummer Yoann Danier at Arteria Jazz Club, bringing his soulful saxophone and boundless creativity to Tbilisi for the first time.

🎹 Kamaal Williams
Kamaal Williams — real name Henry Gilbert Williams — is one of the most exciting voices in modern jazz. Born and raised in Peckham, South London, he grew up surrounded by the city’s multicultural soundscape — from 70s jazz-funk and Miles Davis to UK garage, hip-hop, and soul.
In 2016, Kamaal co-founded Yussef Kamaal, whose debut album Black Focus became a modern classic, winning Jazz FM Breakthrough Act of the Year. The project broke boundaries, blending jazz improvisation with streetwise beats, and inspired a new generation of musicians.
As a solo artist, Kamaal has released acclaimed albums like The Return (2018) and Wu Hen (2020), each expanding his unique fusion of:
