On 26 May 1926, one of the most innovative and influential figures in the history of music was born in Alton Illinois.

GnetRadio is delighted that presenter Martin Tolcher will be doing a one-off special of Songs From Under The Floorboards at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday 21 May to mark the soon come 100th anniversary of his birth - "Miles @ 100" will incorporate late period originals from Miles Dewey Davis III, with cover versions, collaborations and songs that sample his music.

Widely regarded as one of the finest printmakers and lithographers working today, Oleg will guide participants through the fascinating process of creating their own linocut prints — from carving to printing.

Def Leppard's 13th studio album is set for release in early 2027, according to Joe Elliott.

The singer and Planet Rock presenter told France 24: "We've got about 17 or 18 songs written. So, we've actually almost got two albums recorded.

"So, we're still deciding which songs are gonna go on album one, if you like. And then we're looking at an early '27 release."

With yet another month gone by again with such haste, time for Songs From Under The Floorboards to broadcast its next annual special - 1988.

During that year, presenter Martin Tolcher reached the ripe old age of 25, he won a local doubles tennis tournament and he saw a few gigs, including a great one in London...
..Oh, and in August, he got married (that's nearly 38 years ago!)

During the programme, the listener can expect to hear 5 cover versions (including a couple of Sweet tunes), some funky dance floor fillers and a Mid-Show Feature entitled Bring The Noise.

New Head of Arts Development Rebecca Booth from Guernsey Arts opened the Guernsey Arts Gourmet exhibition at the George Crossan Gallery last Friday.

This is a visual exhibition, celebrating Guernsey's produce & hospitality sector, and runs until 7 June.
